My Amare & Hydroponics Hut - O.C., GG#4 Grow

  1. That would really defeat the reason for using LED if you had to put an AC unit in there. You consider adding Co2 to deal with the extra temps? I mean not now of course but maybe your next one.

  2. There's 4,500w + of led in this room. 2 sides. The Amare's make up for about 2,900 of them.
Yeah, deffinetly need to use AC.
    Am running Co2.
    Remember, watts=heat know matter what.
The only way to beat that is venting.

  3. Just me feelings, I think when you have to use ac with led that sucks. And yes that's a lot of watts lol, what is your total grow space that your 4500 watts(damn that's a lot lol)?

Also why not run the 90F with co2?

    15'x11'6" w/ an 2' isle.
More cons then pro's to running that kind've temp.

  5. What issues? I don't run co2 yet I am preparing my room for it(I read too much). But I know you need the extra heat in order for your plants to make full use of the increased co2 levels. Just wondering what issues you ran into?

Big reason for me to use it is for the increase in heat tolerance.

  6. All kinds of problems come w/ growing @ 90• n up. I know what they say about the plant using co2 best around 95•. But it's not worth it. Fluffy bud, bugs, possible thc degration, the list goes on, plants just aren't comfortable.
    Better off making them happy.

  7. Ok dokie, best luck on the grow.

  13. Nice! I am really enjoying the BAR 6. How much defoliation do you do under the trellis?

  14. Only what needs it, strain dependant. I found with the bars & my style if growing that the plant opens up more as opposed to a single light source. So I need less de-fo on the bar lights then the central board style.

  15. Thanks, I was thinking of trellising but wasn't sure if I should take everything below the trellis off.

  16. A Double trellis would do you some yeild justice because it will allow you to top your plants & have an even canopy of colas for each plant. I like your big central colas. They look awesome. But if you top that central branch in veg, as much time as possible before flip, then you'll naturally have a bush. Pinching new growth on the new main branches that are tallest we allow the lower stuff to catch up. At your discretion but I normally get them spread in the trellis before loli-popping to much because you'll see allot of those branches or tiny sites will be getting light now. A week or 2 under the trellis helps those sites become branches that become individual colas. Larger yeilds/sq' & you can take advantage of the vertical space at the same time.
It takes a lil getting used to but after you do its very low maintenance. 20201208_114129.jpg That there is x3 layers of trellis so I could go wide as well as tall. Starts at 3' & has another layer every 11". Long ass colas are easily supported.
I'd go for it & would be happy to help.

  17. Hybrid,
Very much appreciate the info. I will try it this round. I did noticed with the BAR 6 I had much better density farther down the plant. I usually rotate my plants a 1/4 turn about once a week. It seems to help with the overall exposure .providing different angles to each bud site. I always see way to many small branches that just produce popcorn. It is a pain to trim. I am in a 7 ft tent so where should I set my trellis height? What height do you flip the plants. I use to grow large trees but these last couple of grows I have been trying to keep them shorter. How do you control the height of different strains to keep them close in height?

  18. Hey bud, don't have allot of time rn. But can answer those questions real quick.
Id set my two trellises at 3' then 3'10 in your space. I pinch the tallest sites so the lowers catch up. Opening up the plant in veg helps save time growing into the net & helps it fill in.
Different strains, some get a booster (milk crate or riser) seeing how all my lights are jacked to the ceiling In most cases. If I no its a shorter strain I'll maybe make it a accessible to lower the light.
If overly concerned with stretch then keeping the temps warmer at lights out (like only -5•f from lights on) helps keep them shorter.
I flip em when they looked fairly filled into the first trellis. Plant gets to be spread as she stretches too if you want.
Neglected the last week here & was supposed to turn some if the lights down. A power outage set my 315cmh's to 350 each.
But the Diablo leaves took the biggest beating from not dimming. Some pics. 20201213_220430.jpg Bar-6 20201213_220517.jpg Diablo650R 20201213_220522.jpg room pics 20201213_220546.jpg 20201213_220617.jpg 20201213_220627.jpg 20201213_220635.jpg
