  1. Finally chopped the Kilimanjaro at 12 weeks today. Glad I’m going out of town. She was pretty mellow in the flowering space, but she is stinking up my entire house hanging in the drying space. Here are a couple final pics with her fan leaves off. Normally leave them on, but this girl is covered in clusters that are like fists. More worried about mold than I am about drying too fast! 25D07B96-66A9-4A13-AC65-50EB86CCFF4C.jpeg 481E85EB-06B7-4C65-A87B-B6560C784302.jpeg

  2. Happy Monday gc. Back from vacation and everyone survived without incident. Vegging girls are a little banged up, but the flowering ladies look great. Here is where things are today.

The amnesia lemon pie is making a late run and putting on some respectable nuggets. Not the frostiest buds, but she is a known winner. Can’t wait to get her harvested. She will be 9 weeks on Friday and should be done next week. FFEBC46A-6C6B-4AC5-AF87-C943B3064776.jpeg E58CCD0F-216B-42CA-B4E1-706270DCD7DF.jpeg 5F6EAA28-4282-4284-8DFC-07C36A1FCE37.jpeg

Next up is the Barney’s Acapulco gold. She’s 7 weeks since flip tomorrow. Pulled her branches together a bit to make her more narrow for space reasons. She’s all tops, so there was a good bit of wasted space between colas. She smell lovely. Reeks like old school “good weed”. looking like still a few weeks for her, but this is her first run so I don’t know how quick she’s going to finish up. 141341A1-45F1-4EDA-A6C3-56318BE08CD1.jpeg B51FBF4C-746C-4A3D-AF89-C164D323E124.jpeg F7C7A031-A43D-482B-8818-A01B13909759.jpeg

next up is the rqs hulkberry, also on her test run. 6 weeks tomorrow. She has put on an amazing amount of frost and has basically gone white all the way down to her main stems. Flower clusters are small and I have no idea whether they will fatten up. Doesn’t look to be building a lot more flower, but it’s still early. Starting to smell fruity as hell and looks fire. 1A9651ED-B261-41FA-AB94-4C6EB592ABC2.jpeg 0801E7A3-7951-49F1-A4D9-4CCD33B83758.jpeg 4D0F3BE4-F1EE-4D87-B5AD-43E42032BCFD.jpeg

The K2 is up next. 3 weeks since flip today. Let her grow out a few more side branches than some others. Had a bit of room. Liking her stretch. She’s starting to build some flowers this week and should show frost any day. 1AE693DB-9C5A-42FF-9A86-ABEB65D02DFC.jpeg B52B2BF6-0557-453A-A92D-3A7F800C500D.jpeg

This citradelic sunset (#3) is 2 weeks since flip today. She has a couple sisters in veg, but this one was just right for the space I had. Nice stretch on her. Trained into 6 tops. Happy little lady. D5753A68-5C47-4117-BC43-8B88336749AE.jpeg CE3F50B6-190C-4EE7-9D83-CDFD7C56AEAB.jpeg

with the space left from harvesting the Kilimanjaro (which is about ready for jars and looks/smells amazing), I dropped in this fruity pebbles. It was a gifted seed and I believe comes from pacific seed bank, who I have heard all kinds of bad shit about. She has been stress free thus far, but if her genetics suck, I wouldn’t likely know yet anyway. Curious to see what her story is.

Planning to drop in this small Barney’s wedding cake when the ALP wraps up. She is finally behaving.

The Acapulco gold will be replaced when she wraps by an expert seeds chemdog-gorilla that is getting her manifold on in the veg cab. Her leaves got a little roughed up while I was out of town, but she is due for some training and trimming anyway. Her timing should be just about right. 36237041-45C9-4507-B8BE-D5B285A31CD0.jpeg

after her will be this little skywalker OG that has all of a sudden decided it’s a hero and wants a place further up the line. Always happy to reward such eagerness. F80F2B43-050E-4378-91BD-D96DFAC88039.jpeg
have a pile of new stuff in small containers teed up to go after these this spring. Should be fun. Cheers.

  3. Had time to start finish-trimming the Kilimanjaro and try an early sample. I think I’m in love. Tastes and smells like very strong what I would call old-school sativa funk. Makes your eyes water when trimming. Delicious. Major long-lasting headband from 1 hit. No jitters or other potential straight sativa issues. Flower clusters are huge so I will be watching her closely for mold. Keeping her around fo sho E950DA39-3423-4124-92D4-7F1EF50DEC91.jpeg

  4. Beautiful stuff, I'm gonna definitely order some of that for my next sativa step with the white berry.
She look beautiful for sure, nice tric build up on the gloves there.

  5. So. Much. Frost. 27B74AA8-6D8E-46E1-BFA0-0E1AEAB0CFB8.jpeg

RQS Hulkberry, just into week 6. Doesn’t look like a monster yield, but looks fire and is getting a super fruity nose. I love fruity weed! Assuming she sticks around and doesn’t do anything crazy, I will let her grow several more tops next run. 7BC7CF92-10F6-49FF-9C6A-F081EFA5B7A9.jpeg

  6. Never know with those freaky growers. Had so many super frosty fruity girls be on the watch list.
    She looks super good.

  7. Happy Monday GC. In a good mood today. Not sure why, but I am going to run with it!

I cut the ALP on Sunday morning at 9 weeks, 2 days. She is hanging in my drying space and made me break out the extra carbon filter to keep my house from smelling like a dispensary. She had stumpy branches with fat nuggets cramped together so I broke her down more than usual, but the drying space is dialed in to 60% rh and she should chill just fine. 8B516AA5-0EB7-4F41-99B8-670F415396A1.jpeg

over in the world of the living, that puts the Barney’s Acapulco gold at the front of the line. 8 weeks tomorrow. She has been a pleasure. First run with her, but I suspect she’ll be ripe sometime in the next week or two. Still eating and swelling so she can hang out for as long as she wants to keep that up. 79F799D4-531A-4745-A616-890B2F8BDE50.jpeg 42002B98-C024-45C4-8940-7CF8D70537D7.jpeg 967A17B4-CC6E-46A9-8CF4-B484DB0EC6F4.jpeg

Next up is the hulkberry. Very mixed feelings about her. She is caked in frost but her bud development is underwhelming. She will be 7 weeks in tomorrow. Still building bud as she is swelling so I will reserve judgment. Hoping she is one of those sativa-leaners that keeps packing on mass until they’re ripe. She’s beautiful and happy as fuck. 33FAB826-CDDF-4241-8D13-1A0ABAA0858D.jpeg AE6D6BF7-901E-4310-9B38-1811E7570A3C.jpeg 7EA840FD-1154-4ECC-B5EF-B3C8C0E71C73.jpeg

After her is the K2. 4 weeks in today. Nice ordinary hybrid stretch and side-branching. Pretty nondescript smell. Frost level is fine but hasn’t shown me anything yet. We’ll see how the next few weeks look. 4D762EEA-F19C-4DBA-9853-C47B92651065.jpeg 512A2681-1F49-41F8-BDDB-CCD91C624F43.jpeg

next is the small citradelic sunset. 3 weeks in today. Nice vertical stretch on her. She’s a very happy girl so far. Hopefully she will stay that way. 82892DFE-293A-4190-8D6B-23377F7D66EB.jpeg B4B3ACAA-7737-4AA6-9DBE-99C1723E3209.jpeg

last up in the flowering space for now is the fruity pebbles. Just finishing week 1 today. Really happy girl. Going hard. Fat Indica leaves. 75C6BCA2-DC5C-4C42-BBF1-5F76B68E5942.jpeg D385F93C-62F6-4097-8AAE-0A7EC86423E8.jpeg

Depending on how the LST I did this morning takes, the wedding cake will drop in either later today or in the morning. Hope she will be worth the pain she has been!

Thanks for checking out the garden. Cheers

  8. Hey, still looking banging as always there.
I was gonna ask you about your opinion with LST vs topping your seeds.
Do you find it more strain dependant on your choice on which your gonna do?
My wife and I always get into a long discussion over weather if I'm topping seed or not...

  9. You mentioned drying at 60% rh. How long in 60% until dry typically? Do you cure at 60-65?
Just drying the last of my first grow, and thinking maybe been drying a bit too fast, trying to stay 50 to 55. Seems like some strains do fine with it, after then spending a couple weeks in jars, but other strains seem to lose a lot of smell and taste that doesn't seem to come back in the jars.
Been watching your grow, learning. Thanks!

  10. I have more than a touch of OCD and I have a thing with even vs odd numbers. If you look at my grow, virtually every plant will have an even number of tops whether it’s 4, 6, 8, etc. As a result, I almost always top plants. I will do more LST with autos, although sometimes I top those to. Topping also helps me manage my timing. I have a bunch of small girls in veg. When one gets tall, I top her down to the first two viable nodes and let her regrow 2 tops. If they get too tall before I have time to run her, I will top those two branches down to their first viable nodes and let 4 grow back out. It keeps them pretty well ready to get picked up out of the rotation and moved into a larger pot.

  11. Thanks for the kind words buddy. Just learning by doing over here. Usually takes about a week, sometimes a couple days longer on the fat ones. I have dried at 50% before, but usually had to pull mine 4-5 days in and the cure is a little trickier to manage. Buds are dry on the outside but still have quite a bit of moisture in them. Like cooking a steak on really high heat. I dry them at 60-62% with good airflow. There’s a fan and humidifier in the room, but not near them. Allows them a nice slow dry and they go into the jar with a good start of a decent cure on them already. IMO, getting just the right dry and cure is still the trickiest part of this endeavor.

  13. Quick veg update...

the on-deck circle is full. The Acapulco gold and the Hulkberry look to finish about the same time and pretty soon. They will be replaced with these two. Left is an expert seeds chemdog-gorilla. Right is a nirvana skywalker og. In final pots and getting trained up and ready to dance.
    1F1C3CA7-95FE-44E1-B60A-680265DCBBCF.jpeg

The veg cabinet is still loaded with little ones. They just got cut back hard so they look a little ragged out. No worries…they will be pretty when their time comes. The bigger girl on the left is a chocolope and wants to go after the cd-gorilla and skywalker. Will need to cut her back and do some more training. The space for her won’t be open for about a month. CF14AE17-127C-44D6-A11A-1E60EAEA18BE.jpeg

the moms and clones are finally a bit more organized. Also a bit ragged out from a hard cut back. 5C0B0302-3E62-4E84-A57F-C326F9CE5698.jpeg
    Thanks for popping by. Cheers

  14. What up gc? Time for a quick update on the ladies in the basement. The ALP is almost dry. Tried a small nugget yesterday and it is as rockstar as I remember it. Can’t wait to get some jarred up and will have to find a spot in the rotation for another one. It is just too damn good not to have around on a consistent basis.

This is what is going on as of today. The Acapulco gold will be 9 weeks in tomorrow. I kind of remember doing that on purpose to sync up with 4-20, but that was a long time ago and I have smoked a bunch of weed since then. Yield looks to be on the small side but I don’t entirely blame her. She stayed a little shorter than expected and I took a few more side branches that I prolly should have. No matter. She looks and smells top shelf. Should be done any day, may be already. Will scope her after work. 68BD6902-7840-4636-B80D-AA2B3E6FC10F.jpeg 6773C10F-20F0-416A-BEC5-9A6C6167DF71.jpeg B1C6DBC5-4C40-4C48-8198-4AA509B050A1.jpeg

The rqs hulkberry hits 8 weeks tomorrow and almost looks closer than the AG. Will also scope her. Pistils curled and dried about 2 weeks ago. Just went through what looks to be her final swell. Calyxes are like blueberries. Pretty girl. Wish she was fatter! After her is the nirvana k2. Like what I am seeing out of her so far. 5 weeks today since flipping her. Building out some fat little flowers. She’s been a pleasure in the grow room and prays every day like my grandma used to. 4BFC13BC-353C-4DA6-BB24-7B809877F9A4.jpeg 6562F170-C54D-446F-BAD8-15048DE9DFBE.jpeg E2316EB3-AF15-4A4D-AB0E-D3CE76010675.jpeg

The citradelic sunset is 4 weeks since flip today. Just finished her stretch. Really love how she’s shaping up. Nice tall colas. Just starting to frost up. DCA8D5A9-B0B0-4BC6-A123-EF368A46F5C3.jpeg D179C6A2-495E-4868-85FD-AAD0F17B3AA9.jpeg

The fruity pebbles is 2 weeks in today. Explosive vertical stretch on her. Just starting to set flowers. This gal’s got my attention. Love it.

Last up is the wedding cake. End of week 1 today. Just starting to take off. Still a bit finicky, but got tired of working with her in the veg room and imma let her do what she’s gonna do. 450778BB-28B0-4A70-855D-F11D05DA32D3.jpeg 0AF366F4-178D-4762-AB99-7AE321C30981.jpeg

  15. Happy 420 from the ladies!
    AB393011-5249-4073-A5C5-7E7519DCEAD7.jpeg
In honor of the holiday (and her being ripe), I cut the Acapulco gold this afternoon at 9 weeks. 27C22B07-39C0-46A9-B640-A86A02E806F4.jpeg The expert chemdog-gorilla jumped into her seat minutes later. She is the back left in front of the fan in the top photo.

    Be safe everyone. Cheers

  16. Been busy as hell this week. Leaving town for the weekend. The RQS hulkberry is good and ripe for me. All cloudy with about 5% amber. Found a couple seeds on her and may run a couple if I find some viable ones. She wrapped up in just under 9 weeks and is a frost machine, but her bud development was meh. Perhaps one of her offspring will give me a little more bulk for my time. She smells amazing tho. Distinctly grapefruity dankness. CC5B3FCC-7FE7-4443-9412-3E9E3CFA7485.jpeg

Her seat was taken by a Nirvana skywalker OG. Forgot to snap a pic before they went to sleep. First run for her from seed. Let’s dance!

Happy weekend all. Be safe. Cheers.

  17. Happy Sunday all. Kids are at grandmas and I have some time to work in the garden. Time to catch up on the new girls and the rest.

The ripest lady in the flowering space is the k2. Getting a sharp tart citrus note to her. I’m a fan. She will be 6 weeks in tomorrow. Painless little lady to grow. Bulk and frost are both solid for her age. Should finish nicely. 3193294A-F2C7-4293-83D1-1723BB61B34F.jpeg FB1CE1D1-AEB7-43E5-8087-0D34B4828F28.jpeg C6445E39-D9D7-4752-B38B-2D0C62281941.jpeg

Next up is the citradelic sunset. 5 weeks since flip to 12-12 tomorrow. Really like how this gal has formed up. Nice tall colas with nicely spaced nodes. Should be a decent yield for her size. B8125813-F1D7-416E-ADE0-7676E60BD81E.jpeg F8065EB7-882D-4B32-9273-155AD66463E5.jpeg 9F11F658-6DB8-4944-B9D6-2F3A3E7DE2D5.jpeg

The fruity pebbles is 3 weeks in tomorrow. She’s gotten huge. Massive stretch, but I think we’re about done. Big internode spacing. Expected a more indica-dominant form, but it is not to be. Fat fan leaves on her though. Good looking healthy plant. 175F8705-0AF3-4DDC-A56A-861769785937.jpeg F37B464A-23E6-4E6C-A893-6CF747B924F1.jpeg

The wedding cake is 2 weeks in tomorrow and is starting to act like she’s done stretching, which would add yet another disappointment with her. She’s finicky as hell. I should have known well-enough to cull her. May still. Hopefully she’ll put on some size or she prolly won’t be worth the space. FB5D66E3-9C62-4EE3-951D-69202D2C5A59.jpeg 42453AD9-65EB-48CA-A0B5-68185298675A.jpeg

This chemdog-gorilla took the place of the Acapulco gold. Dropped her in 5 days ago. She may be a beast. Got just a little bigger than I planned while waiting for her seat. 2590E9D4-C63F-4EE4-B982-0D8E73E4CDBE.jpeg 30FD0699-BE3B-4E54-A105-560B3FCBA032.jpeg

Last up is the skywalker og. Dropped her in just a couple days ago. Picked up a few deficient leaves after potting her up a couple weeks back, but she seems to have shaken it off and is back to growing strong. CA338CF9-904C-41F0-9ACF-17E7E1847D67.jpeg 875B5A5F-4D21-4D44-909A-29115CF7DA87.jpeg

That’s all in the flowering space for now. Looking like 3-4 weeks before more space opens up. Three-way foot race for who goes next between a purple marmalade from solfire gardens, an ethos big D energy and a chocolope strain from Phoenix Seeds. There is a krazy runtz from exotic genetix that is also in the mix. As always, I like to let them sort it out based on their vigor and size when the time comes and how well they fit in the size space that I have available. Also don’t like to run them until their clones have take. All of those girls have been cloned and their cuttings are waiting to either go with the moms if they are keepers or go in the compost heap if they are just OK.

    thanks for stopping by. Cheers

  18. Happy Friday gc! Had time this week to trim out the Acapulco gold and Hulkberry. Both of these look and smell amazing imo. The AG is just dank as fuck. Like funk up the whole room when you open the jar dank. The hulkberry has a cool sweet grapefruit thing going on. Very unique and smells tasty af. Decent yield on both of these for their size, but nothing special. Just over an ounce and a half per. They were both pretty small plants. Very different bud structure, but both special in their own way…

  19. What up gc. Time for an update on the ladies. Everyone has been trucking along nicely this week with no real issues of note. Need to up-pot a couple ladies to replace a couple that are getting close to finishing. Easy to get busy with other things and take your eye off the ball, which can really throw scheduling off on the perpetual grow. Here is where everything is at the moment.

The ripest girl in the bunch is the K2. 7 weeks 2 days since flip. All of her tops/branches have a heavy coating of dense ass nuggets. Not huge, but I expect her to swell quite a bit yet. we’ll see. No prior experience with her. 61AD4312-13CF-438D-9CE3-10CE3AC3B8DF.jpeg 6AF8A4A1-3F78-4D28-A684-E1D363148E4C.jpeg 5F9FD8E5-D312-4085-8CCF-4B87C3DDFF79.jpeg

Next up is the citradelic sunset. 6 weeks 2 days. Starting to blow up in the last few days and looks quite nice for early week 6 imo. Starting to show the haze in her genetics. D6DF6D93-3731-4249-991C-FD5DC0D174A9.jpeg 79B0F615-DB74-4D67-807B-4409E9132DD4.jpeg

Next up is the big fruity pebbles. 4 weeks and 2 days for her. Getting some pretty chunky flowers going and starting to frost up. She is on a supplemental feeding program. Once a day just wasn’t cutting it for this stage of flowering. 2BB9CAF1-FF3B-4675-BBF3-85F01573FD27.jpeg 3DF78B6B-A332-46DB-841E-D948A400CABA.jpeg

The wedding cake is 3 weeks and 2 days in. She is starting to get pretty, although she is very dainty. Understand that may be not-uncommon for this strain. I know some of the GSC family have a rep for being small-ish, but this gal is small even with that in mind. Hopefully she’ll at least make me a jar of good nuggets. Probably won’t earn her another run unless they are like fucking magic, but we’ll see. B4E546B1-0BFA-4DD9-AD10-6D963A6765C7.jpeg 53B094A7-A138-4231-9889-FD2EA687202B.jpeg

The chemdog-gorilla was 2 weeks in yesterday. Like how she is filling out. Will go through her one more time to clear out suckers before she starts making flowers in earnest.

The little skywalker OG is last up. She will be 2 weeks in Friday. The space is a little jammed right now and she is leafy as hell, so she looks a bit disheveled. Starting to do her OG thing. Lots of tightly spaced nodes on her tops and branches. Likin the looks of her so far. 4D0CA8B3-DD62-4359-B643-A97788B664F1.jpeg 2031E48E-B49E-4871-B2A5-1170FFDA9A9F.jpeg

  20. Looking great as usual!
Yah, I get the dainty aspect of the wedding cake, however the way I did this run, cramming them, I preferred them staying dainty(northern lights did as well, however note, I was only working with a clone of WC not seeing her tap exp), however I'm looking at using the five gal square pots similar to i think what you got here just cause I feel it definitely would make it more enjoyable, as you pointed out, definitely something to consider long term.
I could imagine wanting a bit more jump than she(wedding cake) seemed to have, not best cloner, reasonably slow compared to others.
Looking forward to the blueberry x wedding cake tho. Might give her a bit more pop.
Again, your stuff looks absolutely beautiful as well as the diversity- always love the family photos-
    Cheers.
