Basically... I was just fucking around, trying to figure out something other than my glass bong or a joint to smoke out of that was practically within reach. I had been up for a long time and had some of those 5-hour energy shots lying around. I noticed my old flashlight metal pipe fit perfectly as a slide in the top of the 5-hour shot container... I always try to fit slides and such into drink tops to try and make some "awesome" homemade. I hate chokes, so if possible, I will add a slide. ---------- The main part... is just a container with a hole in the bottom. A bic grip pen, well, at least part of one is firmly fit in the bottom of the container (the rubber grip and precise hole allowed for no glue to be used) and has 4 holes pokes at the bottom to create a downstem. Finally, the cap of one of those containers is hot glues to the bottom of the container, with a hole to let the downstem through. Hot glue is used once here... only to hold the cap in place for the attachment. At no point does smoke pass through any glue. The plastic doesn't get heated as the metal "slide" takes all the heat and that, along with the rest of the chamber, acts as an ashcatcher. Main part with the cap and diffy. Main part and the metal pipe aka the slide. ---------- 1st Attachmentment: "The Shotgun" My buddy nicknamed this the shotgun as it's basically just another one of the 5-hour energy shots attached beneath with water to form a bubbler (my original idea) and a white owl cigar tube attached in a steam-roller manner near the top to turn the piece into a bubbler/steamroller with a slide. The pieces shown separate. Shown together. Hot glue is used once to secure the cigar tube in place with the energy shot container. I use part of a pen inside the cigar tube that is forced through two careful-sized holes; one in the tube and one in the energy shot container. That creates an almost perfect air-tight seal. The smoke passes through the inside of the pen tube piece never touching any of the glue. ---------- 2nd Attachment: "PM Bong" I loved the simplicity, yet amazingly smooth and big hits from the original piece, however I wanted to add more to it. I didn't know how I wanted to add to it, but then I figured why not just create a separate bottom segment for variety. I had been using thePM juice to mix with vodka and had a bottle that I wanted to turn into a bong, and this was my opportunity. I knew the energy shot containers were going to be my "connectors" meaning they would connect the attachments to the first piece that holds the slide... so I attached a diffused downstem from a solid straw to a energy shot container and once I found a position I like I hot glued it in place (again, no smoke touches any glue). The 2nd attachment where you see the ashcatcher and the PM part. The 2nd attachment put together. Milk for ya guys... There is a little drag from the PM's downstem, but I have plenty of lung power and it provided some amazing hits; the small drag is not a problem. The Shotgun attachment had practically no drag and smoked smooth like a bubbler, but packed a hard hit like a steamroller. ---------- 3rd Attachment: Stemless w/ natural percolator This think looks the worst of the bunch, and is definitely the most "ghetto" of the three attachments, however I love it. The two energy shot containers at the bottom are connected by a pen piece, creating a stemless, however there isn't the best airflow so some water is pulled up above into the first pill bottle as smoke flows through, causing it to go through water once more. The water then goes back down into the lower chamber. I can also put ice in one of the pill bottles if I want to. It hits so well and I love how small, yes powerful it is and it's easy to hold. Not to mention it's one of three I can choose from to smoke from. --------- Yeah... I put a lot of effort into this post for some reason, but I'm high, I'm drunk, I'm really enjoying this thing, and I haven't posted much of anything on GC in a long while. Peace folks...
appreciate the comments, guys. I always need some variety and I've been trying to conserve... all I got to smoke from normally at the moment is my ZOB, so I wanted something different. The 3rd attachment is my favorite definitely. You have to pull a bit at first to get the water to naturally percolate in the pill bottle, but once it starts going, you don't have to hit it as hard... it provides some really great hits.
thanks, man I've personally never seen a working natural percolator on a homemade so I love that mine does that, as well as being a stemless, which I've only seen on a couple homemades before.
