  1. but when i was done i find out that we aren't glazing them >.<

any advice on what to do?

i've been on google for an hour with little results..

im really hoping there's a glaze out there that's non toxic and can be done at home,
or maybe try to find someone with a kiln

    ahh damn,
    so dissapointed.

  2. Build your own kiln like the native americans. I saw a video on it back when I took some ceramics classes. Its basically cow shit and logs in a log cabin style fire. Works real well.

  3. I can see some dude out in the middle of a city firing a homemade bong in a log house full of shit :D

    2 words man, conventional oven

just cause conventional sounds cooler at the beginning...

Anyways, most simple colored glazes are non toxic and if you do it right you will probably be able to get your oven to work as a kiln, as long as its only the glaze your trying to fire.

  4. put it in the microwave.

  5. I didn't know ovens could reach 1500+ degrees...

  6. microwave ovens do.

  7. ....mine does

  8. Ohh I'll be having my gf (she's a photographer) take some pretty nice photos of it probably some time next week.

It's about 10" tall, has an ice catcher, and I'll be looking for a bowl to match it soon.

  9. haha this reminds me of my high school. one of my buddies made a mr. potato head bong in class. too bad the teacher was a stoner also, cause he confiscated that shit. everyone knew that he was toking off of it.

But try a microwave, so long as it reaches the necessary temp, it should work like a kiln.

  10. nahhh....

don't think I'll be putting my bong in the microwave..

even if it did get hot enough,
it would have to be for hours.

  11. I am sure you could find a pottery or ceramic's place in your city that would fire it for you for a fee.

  12. yeah..

this is what I've been thinking about.

that or ask my old hs teacher if i could use her kiln..
