Many times I find myself looking at light bulbs when making a homemade piece. if the bulb is all cleaned out and has nothing inside of it, is it safe? Like think of those long lights that are in schools and shit. with the right tools you can make a dope glass steamroller with few modifications. and then i saw these triangular/rounded type bulbs that would make a crazy ufo perc. I also saw a few that could make a great shower diffuser. or even those coiled bulbs, imagine the peculators you can make with that? Anyway, what i want to know is... If i clean the bulb out, so no actual electric components and theres none of that dusty type material on the inside of the bulb, is it safe to use for smoke to travel through?
My cousin made one and tried Vaping from it and said the smoke was brown. Now I don't know if he has smoked himself stupid already or if there really is some bad chemical shit in there
Not going to say yes or no...But the gas in the bulb is a fairly safe gas... and it's gone once you break the seal.. The white powder is Kaolinite from what I can find.. Kaolinite - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia A clear bulb has nothing but gas...
Obviously op has no experience with florescent tubes. You can use thicker glass INCANDESENT bulbs to vaporize with since as was said kaolin is harmless (still wash it all out obviously). The phosphor in flouros are dangerous but who would try to use a florescent bulb for smoking
You sir, just probably saved my life. hahahaha nope I dont know anything about light bulbs. I guess they just didn't catch my interest, Atleast for there actual use that is. And you see, long story short my bongs were taking from me and I was just interested in making a new DIY piece. And i found one lying around and after a good 10 minute stare on I came up with so many ideas. But then after I held it I was like nahh way to thin. Sounds crazy, but this is awesome as can be. Take an apple and make a bowl, use a socket as the pack part. Take a water bottle and put a hole in it about 1/2 way up. Find a flexible plastic tube of some kind. Run the tube from the apple into the water bottle and seal the hole it goes in. Fill with water, and inhale from the water bottle and light the bowl in the apple. So smooth.

the white stuff in the bulb is in our toothpastes and is in stomach medicine, so cant be too bad, just wash it out with salt and your good, comes off with basic water even, ive just made one just to save some cash, dont need to go out and buy the best thing out there, ive got some nice pieces but its fun to switch it up and i dont know why people say they are for grimy kids and shit, its no different then a waterbottle bong, making something from an apple, its all same shit tards, who cares, just chief n chilll shitttt....
