latenight home made water/mesh/ice bong

gonna last me till payday, im buying a legit ass dr pepper bottle bong from the local head shop come then. until then, and maybe after, i have this dope ass ice catch i made myself.

Tools Needed:
-pill bottle
-masking tape/duct tape
-super glue/plastic cement/hot glue
-pocket knife/razor
-plastic jar/soda bottle
-2 Popsicle sticks
-wire mesh (optional)
-straw
-scissors
-tin foil
-index card

1) Make a cone out of the index card the size of a good bowl for you. Line it with tin foil.
2) Take about an inch of the straw and cut it off. Superglue the straw to the bottom of the bowl (superglue makes everything in this project airtight) and tape it together too. (Tape adds a margin for error and stiffens the straw itself.)
3) Cut a hole in the top of the pill bottle and insert the straw/bowl in. The tape on the straw adjusts to the size of the hole. Glue this in place to air tighten.
4) Now cut a hole in the side of the pill bottle, near the bottom. Insert a straw segment 1 inch long into this hole. Once again, glue as necessary to keep it air (and later, water) tight.
5) Let's put the pill bottle aside and work on the plastic jar for a moment.
6) Cut a straw sized hole in the side of your plastic bottle, near the middle. Your pill bottle/straw will go in here later.
7) Cut four slits in the middle (sides) of the plastic bottle, big enough for a Popsicle stick to fit through. If you look at the top of the finished bong, you'll see the sticks making an X. This should give you a good idea on where to cut the slits. Trim the excess stick pieces coming out of the jar, and once again seal the holes with glue.
8) If you have wire mesh, cut it to fit the inside of your jar and lay it on top of the X formed by your Popsicle sticks. It should be a tight fit, but if you like you can glue the mesh to the sticks for added strength.
9) Now on the top of the jar where the lid is, you should cut one big (1 ½ inch) hole (farthest away from the bowl, this is your mouthpiece) and another smaller hole. The smaller hole is going to be your carb, since you can't lift off the bowl. If you used a soda bottle, use the mouth of the bottle as the mouthpiece and cut a hole 1inch down from the opening.
10) Time to put it all together. Slide the straw protruding from the pill bottle into the pre cut hole near the bottom of the plastic jar. Make sure the pill bottle and jar are side to side. Glue the straw into the jar, and wrap the whole shebang with duct tape to hold it all together.
11) Time to give it its maiden voyage! Fill the jar with water to half an inch above the connector straw. Put some ice cubes on top of the mesh/Popsicle sticks, and pack the bowl with your smoking material. Pull like you would any other pipe/bong with a carb – the smoke goes through the water, into the jar and through more water, filters one last time through the mesh, cools down through the ice, and heads straight for your insides

 

thanks for the compliment, i've gone through the liberty of adding pictures and a detailed battle plan for those who want to make it. i winged it and added/subtracted ideas as i went on, and it took me about an hour to come up with the final product. with these instructions and materials list, you can make it in 15-20 minutes, easy.ready to smoke as soon as the glue dries.
