So I just made the actual bong with the whole for the slide, but I don't have the actual slide yet. I went to the head shop and there about 40 bucks but I didn't plan on spending that much for this. Does anyone know what I can make a slide out of for it??
the metal rod from a bbq/candle lighter. its metal and already diffused. plus the standard metal bowls from acryllic bongs fit perfectly
Thanks I'll have to pick up a lighter.. That sounds like it would work perfectly so that would be the downstem and now all I need is a bowl?
yes sir. You could just use a socket. but for like 5$ max you could pick up a metal bowl and have yourself a pullchoke bong. diffusion makes all the difference my friend. trust me
What are you basing this on? OP nice yo, I hope it smokes nice. You could try to make a bowl out of the same clay, or just buy a glass one from your LHS.
...because it's true, usually. Clays are a) usually somewhat porous unless glazed. Anything that air dries in particular is probably not safe to use.
How does it being porous make it dangerous? And I assume that we're talking about REAL clay here, the stuff you fire in a kiln.That stuff doesn't give off any kind of fumes at the temperatures smoking out of it would expose it to. Although if you do smoke out of that BEFORE it is fired, you could inhale some particles that fall off of it. Probably not good for you.
its glazed so its all good to smoke out of. and thinaks for all the help guys when its finished i'll def put a pic up
if you go to home depot and get one of those coily things you put on the back of the doors to prevent it from hitting the wall it can be used as a bowl. if you take the rubber crap off the end and on the other end is a coin like thing that you can remove. just pop a screen in and its cherry use it for improvised bongs all the time
Lol I remember in high school I made a sick bong in ceramics class, gave it a nice glaze and fired it. My teacher gave me an A said it was very nice, then shattered it in front of me. lawl.
