Torch lighters are best. They can light at any angle, are wind resistant, and you don't have to have the flame actually come in contact with the weed, because it sends a kind of ray of heat a couple of inches past the visible part of the flame, so you can light a bowl evenly without getting too much butane exhaust. The only downside is that the ones I get seem to run out of fuel fast, and the butane refills never seem to work. Zippos look cool, but you can pretty much only light joints and blunts with them.
yeah, it takes practice though. you need to hold it at an angle and kind of adjust it every few seconds to do it.
Sort of old thread... anyways I like both, and tend to mix it up often. I like torch lighters a bit more though, if only because they are so cool. Hold the flame an inch or two away like the others said and your weed is basically being vaporized instead of being burned.. and you can corner very easily Also, most head shops and tobacco shops around here have cheap refillable torch lighters for about 3 bucks.
