the other day me and a couple of my friends were aguing about which is better jet lighters or normal ones. we all agreed matches suck. please give your opinions.
What's wrong with matches? I've never had any problem with them. I guess jet lighters might be better because you don't inhale all the butane? Not sure tho.
Some say no fire at all...I'll take a standard Bic lighter for a bowl. Butane torches burn at a rather high temperature to use with most glass, just a couple seconds is all it would take. But I do prefer a butane torch for lighting cigs.
normal bic lighter > everything. jet lighters burn your bud wayyy to much and make the bowl hot as shit...zips aren't to bad but only can really use em for blunts and j's.
truth for idiots to be honest.. i can hold my torch flame tip at least 2 inches from and bud and get pretty much just the heat. you cant even direct the bics flame airflow does.
Depends on the situation. A torch lighter destroys alot of THC, so it's terrible for bowls. But I love using them to start a blunt, cause you just touch the flame to the blunt for like, 1/2 a second, and its already lit.
i'd rather have a torch because a Torch holds up to all weather... you cant put it out... you dont hve to do it direct..... it is stronger... and a bic is just.. .like it goes out...
I really like Bic's, if only for the fact then when I lose one or it gets stolen/lost i don't really feel bad about it. If i went out and bought a torch lighter, I'd be pretty pissed if I somehow lost it.
i really dont like bics, they always go out on me, so that influences my liking toward torches, wind, rain, snow, sleet, hail, a crazy ex girlfriend, nothing puts em out
I'm usually inside when I smoke, so weather doesn't concern me much. I have a Zippo for joints and blunts.
anyone who knows whats good used matches. you dont inhale any butane and your only supposed to light it enough to get it going then let the burning weed ignite the rest
Anyone who is saying that a torch lighter burns too much green or gets the bowl too hot needs to go practice using one a few more times.
I used a bic 99% of the time i used my bowl. I used my torch once, and it burnt up to quick...cause i was holding it like a regular lighter. When you smoke salvia...it's better to use the torch, cause salvia really only works when you're lighting it with very high temperatures. But that being sad, using a bic in any season other than spring or summer is a waste because of the wind. I smoked out on my deck every night, so the wind is even worse at that altitude. It was such a pain in the ass once September came around....I was practically sitting on the floor in between chairs trying to avoid any winds hahah.
