Is this wood safe to smoke out of?

I got a wood pipe for you to smoke.

 

Yea as long as it's not a green color from being treated your in the clear.

I've done that before too but with like a footlong 2x4 haha, square ass pipe.

It will probably taste gross and who knows what wood you used. Don't make it permanent because it is VERY hard to clean wooden pipes, that's a big reason why they aren't popular.

And I think you used pine and that's pretty bad, it's very soft wood and not hard at all so it's just going to scorch and taste soooo bad and you'll be smoking wood.

 

some wood tastes alright, harder wood is better for the bowl.. and a good wood pipe is not that hard to clean but its not as easy as glass or metal. and make sure the wood has been properly cured. by the way that wood looks pretty soft.. you should try to light it on fire with you're lighter and see if it gets charred really easily, in which case you should start over..

 

That looks like yellow pine... going to taste like shit... I just made one from a piece of hickory... Hope it taste like BBQ....
