Experiment- Take some pliers or tweezers and a small piece of aluminium foil and hold the foil in a lighter flame for a minute or two. Now look at the foil- is it still the same? Where do you think those missing atoms went? Your lungs are very efficient about taking stuff out of the air you breathe! Protective effects of L-arginine against aluminium chloride-induced testicular damage in rats Protective effects of L-arginine against aluminium chloride-induced testicular damage in rats - PubMed (A common source of chloride is salt, so aluminum chloride can be formed in your body. - GSC) The testicles in the AlCl3 group showed increased 4-HNE, 8-OHdG expressions, apoptotic index, and abnormal sperm content, while serum testosterone levels, sperm motility, and sperm number were decreased (p < 0.05). Furthermore, histomorphometric examinations of testicular tissue indicated significant structural impairments such as vacuolization in the seminiferous tubule epithelium, edema, and vascular congestion in the interstitial area (p < 0.05). Aluminum may be impilcated in Alzheimer's. Mice given Aluminum develop what looks like Alzhemer's. Conjugated linoleic acid downregulates Alzheimer's hallmarks in aluminum mouse model through an Nrf2-mediated adaptive response and increases brain glucose transporter levels Conjugated linoleic acid downregulates Alzheimer's hallmarks in aluminum mouse model through an Nrf2-mediated adaptive response and increases brain glucose transporter levels - PubMed Mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, inflammation and glucose dysmetabolism are pathological signs of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Dietary aluminum (Al) overload is often used to induce AD in rodents and trigger the onset of oxidative-stress hallmarks resembling those of the human disease. So aluminum can affect your brain function and more. Play it safe, kids! Your future health is worth more than the cost of a cheap glass pipe! Granny
Using tin foil for smoking isn't safe. It can release harmful chemicals when heated, which you definitely don't want to inhale. Consider safer alternatives like glass or a proper pipe to protect your health.
On a list of things that is going to kill me, I'd put aluminum foil WAAAAYYYY down the list. People are ingesting way more aluminum in their food from cooking pans, aluminum water bottles, serving dishes like pie tins, baking food in aluminum cookware, stick deodorant/antiperspirant... I'd not worry about it at all.
