is a puffco peak as good as a glass dab rig for dabbing?

No not at all peak is made for ppl just gettin their toes wet with dabbing. They’ll graduate to a glass setup eventually.

 

i graduated from glass and moved onto peak.. i have a kid running around my house now and he checks every room so i got rid of all my glass( tons), torches and cans of butane.... without a doubt glass banger packs a punch.. but dont underestimate this little rig.. cold dab or hot dab it gets you smacked instantly.. i can literally walk in my backyard holding this little piece 2clicks puffpuff and i got my space boots on.. swab it qtip quick and im back inside my house lol.. ive had this sitting in my truck while taking long road trips its perfect... very convenient and on the go.. bye glass

 

i know for some the price definitely throws them off.. i blew so much bread on sneakers clothes etc. i dont mind blowing some bread on my hobby.. cheers

 

Like my carta better than my buddies peak. Quartz bucket and programmable. Also, cheaper.

 

I love my Peak. I have a glass dab pipe and a nectar collector and I'd much rather use the Peak. They were out of the cheaper but similar versions or I would have bought one that costs less.

I have burned myself, my carpet, my couch and my clothes from dabbing. I am so glad to be rid of that torch (unless it's charging)

 

I’ve been pressing my own rosin for about 5 years and have been through a few rigs. No it’s not worth it at all the glass sucks to clean and you can only put a tiny bit of water in it. The bowl is way to small, even with a tiny dab the concentrate goes over the edge of the bowl and down on the heating element. It’s impossible to clean even with sand paper. I bought the recycler glass for it and if I thought the stock glass was hard to clean the recycler really sucks. I’m going back to my to my rig with a drop down and a e-nail. What a waste of money!

 

That is so not true anymore. I put a ball bigger than a pea in it and never have an issue. With isopropyl alcohol and salt the glass could not be easier to clean. It only needs a tiny bit of water and even has a couple holes for percolation. Either you got an old prototype version or you are a competitor lol. By the way it's an old post.

Well I’m not a new member and you can check my posts to see I’m not your competition.
And as for getting a prototype it’s funny using that word because that is something that is for in house testing not for sale so how did I buy a prototype and at full price kind of a crappy business model!

My peak is black but they updates the black ones too especially in the case of loose wires in the device when it first came out. Puffco lost enough money to crack down and out of nearly everyone but 3 people ik who have one, 2 of whom own a smoke shop, nobody has any issue with it. Its unlike any portable dab rig like the carta as far as quality, but they both do the same thing.

Taking a torch to it and burning it off isn’t the point people spend good money on defective products and then we are supposed to buy something else to make it work then we end up wasting concentrate as it goes over the bucket.
Maybe you have an endless supply of cash to buy new stuff all the time but not all of us do!
I want to get my moneys worth out everything I buy so now I got $500 with the extra glass into something that sucks.
Since you seem to have tons of cash why don’t you give me my money back and take this thing

 

They give out prototypes or "beta testers" all the time. I have one. Never had an issue with mine. Cleaned up real easy. If your dabbing rosin you'll need to clean your coils more often.

Funny though I don’t see any rosin overflowing this bucket and check the coil it’s been in use for years never cleaned it once.
Never had to, and the whole rig was $200 less then the peak

Lol I don't have an endless supply of cash but i did bust my ass to be well off so unless there's something in it for me I wont give you 5 cents. You have to take care of your pieces daily NO MATTER WHAT you spend on them for two reasons. 1 - to keep it functional so your whole bitching situation could be avoided, and 2 - to prevent anything from building up that could get you sick and cause frequent bronchitis.

 

I still love my Peak. I haven't used a torch since August when I bought it. I think it's easy to keep clean.
