So I understand there are threads where people show off their homemade water pipes, but I'm not sure if there's any that actually get right into the specifics of each piece. That's what I want to do, I'm going to log all my homemade creations and their specifications in here, anyone else feel free to do the same. I know there's folks out there that are real creative, and I want to hear about it. I want details though! So I'll start off with my current piece. Materials: 1 Fuze bottle (Strawberry Guava flavor preferred) 1 Vitamin Water bottle (XXX flavor preferred) 1 pen & cap (choose your diameter of the downstem here, I used a gel pen type) 1 socket (4 mm in my case, for a 1-hitter) 1 Excederin Bottle (Size of bubbler can be chosen here) 1 Sharpie marker 5-10 hot glue sticks 1 small bottle of Gorilla Glue 1 roll of medical tape Tools: Awl (hole-punching tool) Hot glue gun Pocket knife Needlenose pliers Snippers So you can see why I chose the Fuze bottle: This is why you need an awl (or that compass thing that I used). All these pre-made indents in the bottom make it easy to create a whole bunch of little holes. I make sure it's an even pattern by poking through the very center ring, and the two outer rings. This creates the amount of drag that I prefer, you should get a feel for it before you pop too many hole through. It also leaves water in the top chamber, which also shelves ices cubes, and creates an inverted percolator (is that the term for when the smoke goes through air before it hits the water and creates those extra bubbles?) And then I cut along the top ring of the Vitamin Water bottle, which has just ever so slightly a larger diameter than the Fuze bottle, which allows me to put a perfect bead of hot glue in the crack! Hopefully this next shot is pretty self-explanatory. It allows me to take the bottom off of my bong for cleaning, while still having a reliable watertight seal when the cap(s) are screwed back on. This also makes sure that the water pipe sits level and doesn't wobble, something I despise in many homemade pipes. (sorry, just a pet peeve, but a tippy bong is just asking for some smelly bong water to spill) Then I cut the white childproof cap off of the Excederin bottle with the snippers, and carefully drilled a hole in the cap the diameter of the pen cap. Then cut the top of the pen cap off, so you have a hollow cylinder the diameter of the pen/downstem itself. Proceed to hot glue the pen cap on top of the hole drilled with the pocket knife . (Sorry no good pics) The tough part is connecting the two pieces. I used some really random pen with the thick diameter, but I suggest a Sharpie for this part, I just didn't have one on hand. (Did I mention I had all this stuff around the house???) And really all you can do here is make the smallest holes possible in the Excederin and Vitamin Water bottles that the Sharpie tube will fit in, then hot glue the hell out of those seams. Also, after all the hot glue dries on my projects, I like to put a seal of Gorilla Glue, just because hot glue can start to peal up after time, especially if you clean your bong daily with scalding hot water. Next is the pretty basic downstem. It's just the pen cylinder, with the socket's small end placed in the thick end of the pen. Then I Gorilla Glue it in place, wrap twice with medical tape, and then put another layer of Gorilla Glue on top of that. Just because the socket will get really hot, and I think the glue can melt, but the tape will make sure the socket stays in place, and then when the glue cools back down, it will still be in the right shape. I also added the pocket clip thing off of the pen cap to the downstem/slide. Sorry I couldn't get a good picture of the tape/glue combo with my Droid X. And that's it! i bought this 'cup' wen i was on holidays i knew when i got back i was gonna make a mean bong out of it its no where near as complex as yours op but this motherfucker hits real smooth with ice in it, as you can see its already had some use lol i needa clean it
good old aussie way bro i just used hose as it is the perfect size for my bowl/conepiece, it used to have this big ass opening at the top for a lid and straw but i cut that off because in order to hit it you had to shove your fucking face in the bong lol

Couldnt agree with ya more, in the time it took to make it I could have squegeed enuf windows to buy a nice piece of glass
heres a model of mine from paint, pretty much the same look, and very simple. im not sure what kind of design it is but it works thats all i care
these are some pics of my bong throughout several upgrades, it doesnt have some of my earliest versions(with less percs) but regardless you guys will love it. it has 6 percs the main chamber and at the end an ashcatcher (its removable). if you want more specific details let me know, i dont feel like making a 3 paragraph wall of text atm, the bowl is the only thing i did not make(don't have knowledge or location in order to blow glass lol)
