I have some very heavy duty bowl screens, some brass some ss. I have tried heating them with a torch to burn away the gunk but I have found that just makes the screen brittle and they break soon afterwards. I have scraped the ash/carbon/un-burned resin away but they are still nasty. I have heard about ppl soaking them in Acetone, not sure what to try. Anyone find anything safe and easy that works? Seriously? Just buy new ones Or better yet, start using glass jack screens or the little flower shaped ones. I honestly don’t smoke glass anymore unless I have barley any flower or I’m doing dabs. There not really worth cleaning when you can buy them cheap online dude, they're more of a disposable thing then something you clean & reuse.. I buy 50 screens at a time on eBay & they cost me £1.25 which works out 3p per screen so it isn't really worth cleaning them to save 3p imo
Isopropyl alcohol, CLR, or like said just buy new ones. I smoke out of glass pipes and dont use screens in any of them.
Just buy new ones man. I can pick up a decent pack of them at a local headshop here for about 0.50¢ but if you are looking for screens that are easy to clean and be reused try glass screens (which work best for glass pipes, bongs and downstems) and you can just place it in a baggie when you are washing your pipes and downstems with ISO alcohol and sea salt.

Lol I can reply to anything I want.. if you want to talk about cheap take a look in the mirror dude.. you want to wash screens that literally don't cost alot There the same screens that every other headshop online sells.. except the headshops want £1 for 5 Also don't say "K" to me you sound like a child.. then again you probably are if you're too cheap to actually spend some money on new screens lol.

Get a sonic cleaner if you really want them clean! Nothing like a 300$ apparatus, to clean a <$1 screen.
