I’ve been vaping the cartridges. They’re good and all but I’m looking to up my game a lil bit. I think next time I go to the dispensary I’m gonna pick up a gram of shatter. What do I need to pick up before being able to take a dab? Thanks for the help guys and gals.
YouTube is full of vids on "Dabs" Most use a bong and a bucket with a full size propane torch. Bit of experimentation to getting the glass hot enough but not to hot. I just drop a tiny bit on top of the bowl of Kief I'm smoking. Melts into the kief when the flame hits and slows the burn a bit. Ehhh it gets it done for me. BNW
A small to mid size bong, a torch, a nail, a dab tool, a carb cap, and some dabs. When you take the hit cap it off don't pull the nail cuz it'll burn.
I have tried, torch and rig, e-rigs, the tsunami by Cannibis Hardware. E-rigs mostly taste like silicone or leave an off taste. Torch and rig is great for cold starts. Also have a Rio which is a torch and rig combined. It's very easy to use and fairly priced.
I own the Hyer E-rig and I have never noticed an off-taste. It is the easiest and best way to dab IMO. Temps are consistent which for me is very important because I have tons of different Full-melt - Rosin - shatter etc and I like to know exactly what temp each will dab at the best. I also like to dab at super low temps to get the best tasting hits.
So I ended up going to the smoke shop and got myself a rig, torch with butane, banger and the carb to go on top (tbh I forget what they called that thing). I ended up spending $93, which they says they could hook me up with a starter kit for under $100….which I appreciated greatly. When I brought the rig back to work my buddy and I took a few dabs. I’m not sure where he gets his stuff from but it’s not the dispensary. So I’m not sure the THC content or what strain it is or anything. He’s bringing me in a gram today so I can’t wait to get home to use the rig later. I think next payday I’m gonna go get some really high quality shit from the dispensary so I can’t wait for Friday to come around. Anyway, thanks for the help guys and here’s a couple pics of what I ended up getting.
Those small torches start to wear quick and the flame isn’t the best. When you are ready, this is a torch you’ll only have to buy once. Have had mine for close to 5 years.
