Hugelkultur NoTill Indoor Organic Grow

  1. I am sorry to hear that mate and i do pray you whip cancers arse and have a speedy recovery. I'm glad you are choosing to use cannabis not only for it's psychoactive properties, but always for its medicinal qualities. I do believe cannabis is the true cure to any illness, psychosis, infection and cancer. Just look at how hard the pharmicutical industry is fighting to keep cannibis illegal on a federal level. Best of wishes mate :metal: awesome on the choice of basalt. Glad you are making the switch back to soil. Mother nature has been prefecting it's craft for billions of years. Mankind can not wish to replicate nature in a bottle no matter how advanced we become. Notill method is what sparked my interest, it blows my mind that you can harvest a plant and sprout a new seed in the same pot of soil the exact same day. :icgreen:
Edit: federal level as in the USA if you are from another country on this amazing planet

  2. You wouldn’t believe the shit I’ve uncovered in my research on cancer. Dr Joanna Budwig had a 90% cure rate on terminal cancer patients in the 50’s but she was suppressed by the world elite because it didn’t make big bucks for the pharmaceutical industry.

I don’t think I’m going no till just yet, still need to do a lot of reading on that. Recycling my soil has worked in the past, and probably what I’ll do near term.

I’m in the US in an illegal state unfortunately. My RSO regime requires about 100 grams of dry herb to make 20 grams of oil. I consume a little over a gram a day currently so each batch lasts just over two weeks.

 damn 1%ers ruining the world. I would love to do some reading on that research if you happen to have a link on hand. If not i'm sure i can dig something up through google. I knew i spelled pharmaceutical wrong :roflmao: there is a couple extraordinary no till threads on grasscity. I can copy the links if you would like. I think i'm the first to do a hugelkultur no till and document tho. Should be a fun journey. Just for knowledge purposes. What is RSO? I know the o must be oil lol. Idk if you have tried this before but qhen you harvest and ect.. you could juice all your fan leaves/stems and drink that as a healthy/medicinal bonus. This is somwthing i am going to try after my harvest in a few months. And sorry to keep asking questions but my curiousity and lust for knowledge gets the better of me. I'm young and dumb so i need to learn as much as can. How do you go about consuming oil? Smoking? Vaping? Edables?

Edit: lot of mispells, had a few to many brewskies tonight

  4. RSO is Rick Simpson Oil. It helps with all sorts of ailments from migraines to pain to insomnia and cancer.

  6. Although i'm loving this information and want it to keep going without regarding this post. The reason most choose hugelkultur is for it's ability to keep soil moist for a longer period of time and to provide a long standi g source of carben for the soil. I myself found utterly no information on potted hugelkultur let alown indoor hugelkultur so i went out on a limb and created the very scenario myself. I want to give 1 months time to provide positive feedback but after just a few days of transplanting into a hugelkultur no till, my plant seems to be doing the best it has been throughout its life. Updates will come through weekly.

  8. Hmm didnt think of that. I'll keep that in mind for any outdoor gardening in the future. I will be mixing native soil, native peat, and compost though for outdoor uses though. For now, my indoor veggies and cannabis uses amended store bought soil thats peat based. Haven't worried about ph so far because i was under the impression that true organic living soil stabilizes ph on its own.

  9. I live by that belief as well, However , It does take some time for that to happen...You remember all the 'recipes' for soil building... They say it all needs to 'cook' for 30 days or more, for things to get broken down, and stabilized, etc. before you can plant in it.
That's because fresh, raw organic materials will lower the PH quite a bit in the soil for a while, until it 'settles down' and stabilizes,etc...And THEN, the PH in the soil sorta 'takes care of itself' from then on...Until you add more green stuff later on.
So , this pot you have started now, should be like 'The gift that keeps on giving' for many generations of plants to come.
But what about this first run in it ?
Is that layer of raw materials you put in there gonna be far enough away from the roots for a long enough time to 'break down' and equalize on the PH ,and all that, before the roots get into it ?
That's what I hope to learn from your experiment with this...
In other words, Just how much fresh green or dried raw amendments CAN you get away with putting into a pot, without 'cooking it in' for a month before planting in it ?

  10. It shall be an interesting experiment to experience first hand. Now that i think about it, there is only a 5-6inch layer of soil seperating the bottom most roots from transplant and the start of the green layer. I'm sure it won't take long for roots to expand downward and enter the green material. And although I doubt the green layer would have enough time to break down and stabilize hopefully the microbe popultions are established and vigourous enough to keep the plant going strong. Only time will tell though. Your response really opened up my mind and gave me a new perspective to look at and consider while taking notes and documenting the grow as it continues.

  11. Update: 1 week after transplant
-tightened down all LST strings. I use a simple slip knot around the shoot and anchor the string to the bucket. So every now and then instead of undoing all the strings and retying, i just simply pull the slip knots further down to lower branches. 20180901_004303.jpg 20180901_004321.jpg 20180901_004348.jpg
The Canopy is bigger and filling in nicely. The mainstalk appears quite thicker.
Check out this trippy shoot, it spits out 3 sets of leaves instead of 2 20180901_004459.jpg and here's some pics of the newest shoots growing in

    I'm pleased so far

  14. Quick update. Loving the growth on this girl. Really seems to be taking off this past week. And who says you can't grow a plant big with cfls :yay: i wish i had a cmh or hps light tho. Here some canopy porn.
    20180907_143907.jpg
Got a lil bit of clawing. And lower leaves beginning to yellow from the tips back. Thinking i may have over watered a lil and have given to much of alfalfa/kelp teas. Going to let it dry out for a 4/5 days and just give it plain clean water for a while. Planning to switch to flower 9/14. I'm afraid i may run into a root bound problem if i wait any longer do to the way she's growing.
Hope all is well everyone, happy gardening :jump::weed:

  15. She looks like a happy girl !

  16. Thank ya very much :weed: Im always amazed how fast cannabis can grow once everything is running smoothly and all the gears are turning :love-mj: wondering if i should do day by day pics for flower, keep it the same with pics here and their, or do weekly pics. Wanted to flip today to flowering times but told myself to be patient and wait a few days.

  17. That's up yo you, but when I look at my plants every day, I don't see much change...But When I go away for a week ,and come back,
    There's a noticeable difference...;)

  18. Gotta love mother nature :yay: while taking a walk yesterday out in the wild i came across some natural compost that just looked perfect 20180909_221940.jpg 20180909_221948.jpg
My guess is that the annual local fall flood last year must have deposited a good pile of vegetative litter here and it decomposed over this years spring and summer.
I couldn't pass it up so i grabbed what i could, brought it home, gave a 1"-2" mulch layer to my plant, then threw the rest out in the compost pile.
One pic for each side of the plant

The mainstem is 1 1/4" right at the base below the first node. Super awesome. Had to post some mulch porn :metal:
Also did a heavy spray of neem/silica after mulching to make sure i wasn't bringing in anything bad :cop:

  19. Had some freshly caught crab tonight for dinner and i just had to take advantage of the shells. Gave em a good rinse, baked em for 20 min at 200F, ran em through the coffee grinder, sprinkled a few tablespoons on top of my mulch and watered them in
    20180910_212123.jpg 20180910_225707.jpg 20180911_000657.jpg 20180911_000705.jpg 20180911_002624.jpg 20180911_002628.jpg

Btw. Im glad i decided to grab what im using for mulch from nature. It was loving up the water. Soaked up an entire half gallon like it wanted more.
