how to use this bong

    it barely hits, ive tried with a lot of water and very little. anyone know how to work one of these??? should i get a longer downstem? it doesn't have a carb

    lol

    put water in the beaker until the perc is covered.

    pull the bowl when you want to clear the bong.

    when you fill it with water and have no bowl in it, does it bubble fine or still have a lot of resistance?

    also, a new downstem is not an option. that part that the bowl goes into is a 90 degree female joint with a fused (attached) downstem--it doesn't come out of the piece like one with a removable downstem.

    that bowl looks very questionable too-- how big is the opening on it?
    if it's damn near sealed shut with just a tiny hole for the smoke to go through, you'll barely be able to get any air through it especially with herb packed in there.

    are you grinding your flower?

    Agree. Only option left is to gently drill the bowl opening slightly bigger.

    The bowl probably is the problem I'd just get a new one for cheap from China tbh although the drilling is also a possibility though I wouldn't personally do it

    Likely that is where this bowl was made, China. You get what you pay for.

    Most of the time as long as you buy from somewhere with good reviews you get more than what you pay for in my experience. I'm not going to spend 25 bucks on a bowl because the user experience is going to be the same as a 5 dollar one. OP just got a bad quality control item which is the risk you take. 5 Bucks and his problem is solved

    Fair enough. I know when I've been corrected because you are right, I do own three small glass pipes that were cheap and they good. Funny how I forgot that while smokin.

    It can go either way for sure. Sometimes the extra cash is worth it other times not so. Personally I've been pretty pleasantly surprised in the world of cheap glass.

    While the piece looks cool just know that not all cheaper glass is functional, cool pieces are typically cheap for a reason.

    The opening looks tiny but I'd think it would still pull as long as he doesn't pack it tight as fuck
