Hey guys, just need to know how to get my bowl detached from my downstem. It's on there really good. I was twisting it from the little piece on the bowl like I usually do and ended up shattering it as you can see it's no longer there. Can't really use my bong at the moment... well kind of can but I have to clear it by picking up the downstem rather than the bowl. Have tried soaping it up really good and didn't work.
when that happened to me, I used a bit of heat from a lighter, (not a torch) to soften some of the resin that had it stuck in there where the joint connects, and it popped out after a bit of work and heat. Dont hold the lighter for too long, like maybe 3-5 seconds so the bowl is still cool enough to grab and twist. Could also try soaking in warm water for a bit to soften up the resin if thats what has it stuck, which it appears it may be if your nervous of the lighter. After a while of not cleaning it I would start to get a slight bit of resin build up on the joints and it would make it stick.
Put the end of a wooden spoon into the DS, then push out the slide into your other hand. If you soak it in some iso alcohol, it will also help loosen up the resin. Then just push it out with the wooden spoon handle, if you you don't have a spoon something like a rounded end of a Bic pen.
1 tspn of olive oil, and as much jizz you can jizz in one load. mix that shit up with some egg whites and some paprika and let it soak over night the bowl should be detached from the stem by the next day.
I would say put in either the microwave or oven for a little to let the resin melt. And use cooking gloves to pry them apart, then let each peice sit in its own separate bag filled with iso and epsom salt over night. Sent from my LGMS323 using Grasscity Forum mobile app

It probably got stuck from water in downstem. Whenever i put water in my bong (downstem doesn't detach) I use a piece of paper towel to dry the inside of the stem because the water will make an airtight trap when you slide the bowl in and get it stuck by friction.
Just jiggle it lightly back and forth for as long as it takes there's a technique to it that you really just have to get used to, happens ALL THEE TIME. Just part of owning glass pieces really.
I just did the same with mine i dropped it and it got stuck got water in the downstem and it was pretty resonated couldnt twist it or anything i poured isopropyl on it let it sit for a sec pulled hard and it popped right out
You may have to just soak the piece on a bag of Iso and I believe that should do the trick. Hate when that happens, I cut the hell out of my self pulling to hard once. Be careful!
WD-40 works excellent for a stuck stem or bowl. Of course sanitize with 100% iso alcohol after. It is magic!
