Sometimes, the worst part of a dream...is the waking loss of those friends we've never met, and knowing we're never going to meet them again. It's painful. They feel like years getting flushed...and even your memory doesn't serve you like you wish it would. I had one relatively recently where I stabbed a chefs knife right through someones throat. A friend. My brain convinced me he was there to harm my family...for no actual reason I could see. The knife slid in quite easily, the first one sliding in then right back out the other side with little resistance. When he turned to face me, he looked kind of shocked, and sad. I stabbed him twice more in the side of his neck. Lots of blood. He kind of just backed up into a wall and slid down so he was sitting. I sat with him and said "Sorry, it's ok, you're not alone" Dream done.
