Homemade wooden pipe

  1. alright, i got a couple bongs and a glass bowl myself, but my friend on the other hand only has papers and a tiny cigarette shaped 1-hitter. i felt bad that whenever i was with him if i didnt have a bong we were using that shit. so the other day i went down in my workshop and started fuckin around with all the stuff and i made a little wooden pipe for him. it has a cool shape and design to it and he flipped out, he loved it. we tried it out and it hits nice and it makes the smoke taste nice.
    :)
so. i was at home again kinda bored and wonderin what to do. so i went back to the workshop and decided to make a little one for myself that i can keep in my pocket all the time and hide easily.

i took 3 pieces of wood, each about 1/3inch thick and 5inches long, 2inches wide. i glued em all together and let em sit overnight. so now i had a block of wood with 3 different layers. i drew out a design on paper, glued it to the block and cut it out with a small band saw. i then drilled the bowl and a small hole going down from the bottom of the bowl. then another hole from the other end down until it met the small hole going to the bowl. from there on it was sanding it out, making finishing touches, and staining it with natural oil (no harmful chemicals, nice smell and look, tastes nicer too :D). Tell me what ya think!

  13. very nice man, plus rep you sir.

what about the glue you used to hold the pieces together though? is it safe when its heated up?

  14. Straight legit. I would hit it.

  15. i just used a basic wood glue, but i ive seen other wooden pipes with multiple layers. and its in such a small amount, you wouldnt be smoking any of it.

  16. What kinds of wood did you use?

  17. not really sure... i found a few pieces that looked good, but i dont know what types they are

  18. nicely done. My first piece was a homemade wooden creation, too. If it had looked as nice as that I might have hung on to it till now, but that ugly thing has been lost to the sands of time.

    +rep, good job :)
