I made a homemade wooden bowl, I'm not experienced with woodworking or anything like that at all I'm a complete noob at it but I think this thing came out pretty good. I used a 2''''X4' and i used a table saw, handsaw and mostly a sander. I would say it took a combined 5hrs of work over about a week. This thing is smooth as velvet because of the sanding. I cut it in 2 places. The one nearest to the mouthpeice i cut so i can make a chamber and that part of the bowl is almost completely hollow. The cut closest to the bowl I cut so i can precicly bore a hole right under the bowl. The last thing i did was put in the carb which leads right under the bowl. For a compelete noob at woodworking im pretty proud of myself and I cant wait to toke up with this thing this weekend. I already thought about the woods integrety agaist a lighter and this thing is hard as hell to burn. I am still thinking what to put in as a filter so my goods dont fall out of the bowl. Not bad at all for your first try. Coming from someone who has smoked out of basically everything from a christmas candy cane to baby jesus, this is a decent piece. Although im sure a glass piece would deff be better, owning a personal made wooden bowl is just badass. Perfect on the road bowl, considering it wont break all that easy and if it gets taken by the police, easy come easy go. keep up the good work and try some more in different designs.

Yes it was very fun actually haha. It is pine wood and im sorry it was actually a 1.5x3'' piece. This is a leftover piece of wood that i used to build paintball bunkers. I got the wood from Home Depot and it was relatively cheap, I forget the actually price but it shouldn't be more then 5$. Good luck on building it, it wasn't too hard.
chances are thats pressure treated wood if you got it from a home center. DO NOT SMOKE FROM PRESSURE TREATED WOOD!!! IT CONTAINS chromated copper arsenate aka Arsenic.
Yeah I took this into consideration, the wood i used is natural and isn't treated. But your right if it was treated there would be chemicals in it that would be very bad, thanks for informing people though on what to get and thanks for the comment

For the bole i used a 11/16'' borer, and for the carb and mouthpeice i used a .25cm and a .5cm screw I think.
