Here's my new wood chillum, I got bored and couldn't sleep last night. So I went on a walk around the lakes near my apartment. Found a stick and then spent 4 hours chipping away at if with a dull knife (no drills used). He hits pretty good actually, just took a couple hits of some cali purple kush. Oh, and I'm thinking about calling him Yoda, let me know what ya think. P.S. exactly! anyone know if its safe to use polyurethane in a bong? i'm thinking no... but i dunno how i would make the wood waterproof if you want to make one i would recommend a hard wood like oak or maple... something like pine burns too easily, i am speaking from experience
Nope, it's a piece of thin sheet metal. Protects the wood a bit more. And no polyeurethane isn't safe, the heat would make it release carbon monoxide and hydrogen cyanide. But you can use any kind of light vegetable oils. Or beeswax/honey.
sick bro! instead of that sheet metal, i'd recomend just torching the area where you'll be putten your weed till its nice and black, then scrape it with a knife a little and wash the ash out. Just like a tabaccy pipe
