Homemade Wood Bowl stands, FREEK BRAIN Bowl

Discussion in 'DIY and Homemade' started by TOK3, Mar 15, 2009.

  1. Many have seen the FREEK 18.8 already when Five posed pictures a few weeks ago. I was lucky enough to get it after joking around in his original thread about it looking better on my Toro.
For the homemade display stands I used some cedar wood and a nice light stain for coloring. For a 14mm you can use a 9.16" auger bit for a nice snug fit at the top of the joint. For all your 18.8 use a 3/4". A few nice rips and a few St. Paulie Girls (nice lager beer) make it a nice afternoon project. Here are a few pictures of the afternoon project as well as the FREEK.

  8. Sweet deal man, those homemade stands look fantastic. I'd space out the holes for the joints a little bit more, wouldn't want the bowls to touch, but other than that they look great! Nice little collection, too! That JF looks really nice.. and of course that Freeek is badass

  9. Fo sure bro! Anyone interested in these PM me. Woodworking is one of my past time activities.
