homemade vap?

i was thinking ive got a hotplate and a couple glass jars with metal lids and vinal tubing. i was thinking i could set up one jar filled with water on the hot plate and get the water boiling then set it up so that air comes through the boiling water. then the air from that would go to another jar and on to some nugs then onto another tube to my mouth. would it work?

 

would the moisture from the boiling water get the bud wet? i still wanna smoke it after i do this.
