Hey guys, put this together in about 20 minutes using only a sautering iron and few bits of plastic. I made all the holes in the bottle the perfect size for airtightness by slowly working the circles larger with the sautering iron. All in all, it is about 98-99% airtight, and as you can see in the vid doesn't detract from the function. The showerhead has around 30 perfectly sized holes in it, creating the ultimate bubble stackage and diffusion. Let me know what you think. PLASTIC. Man I'm tired of people saying it's bad for you. Yes, it's bad to smoke out of. By that I mean literally having a plastic bowl. But if the bong itself is plastic, you will be fine. If the smoke's hot enough to melt the plastic after it's passed through the water, you either have done one of two things: 1. Have broken water 2. Opened a rift in the space time continuum In either case you don't want to be inhaling that shit. If it can melt plastic then it can melt your lungs. Regardless, you will be fine.
It's true what he says, I dont think I've ever seen research on smoking out of plastic products. Then again, the stem is also plastic so the uncooled smoke goes through the plastic stem. Albeit, smoke isn't anywhere near hot enough to melt plastic. All in all im not worried one bit, plastic just doesn't tase as nice as glass or clean as well as glass.
Yeah, even the plastic stem won't matter. People smoke out of bullets and other similar 1"-2" pipes. The temperature simply isn't going to do anything.
Yeah I totally agree. Even if it does do something, I dont really care. Like I said, everything is bad for nowadays, smoking a plastic bong isn't going to kill you instantly
It might not be hot enough to melt the plastic, but plastic off-gasses toxic fumes at a much lower temperature than it melts at. Using a plastic downstem is still about as safe as smoking out of a can. That is the worst logic I think I've ever heard. Just because there are things in the environment that you cannot avoid that are bad for you doesn't mean that you should ignore doing things that are clearly bad for you. If you want to take that attitude, you're going to die anyways, regardless of how healthy or unhealthy you live your life; why don't you just kill yourself?
As cool as this is I just can't get over how many carcinogens you are sucking into your lungs. Maybe upgrade a tiny bits and use a glass bowl just to prevent you from heating up the plastic so much??
Haters gonna hate bro, i love making homemades, and i use pen downstems, It's not like im gonna use it every day, I usually make one, use it, and throw it out cause I get bored. I have plenty of GonG tubes but creativity gets the best of me, and this is one doooooope ass homemade, that thing stacks like a motha fucka. Good on ya bro.
even if the plastic downstem gave off gasses by the time the smoke went through the water it wouldn't be a problem. that's really what i was saying earlier when people started going off on the plastic bong.

Just showing a flaw in logic. Not hating on the piece man, but upgrade yourself to something heat-friendly on the downstem before the water and you'll have a nice homemade there.
