I wouldn't suggest using that rubber peice, but since it's homemade you can't really do much. One thing I would suggest is that instead of making a clear hole / rush hole or w.e, you can put a little straw thing on the bottom part of the rubber piece where the hose hooks up to. So to clear it you can just pull the rubber piece and pull. I got this idea from my friend old bubbler form like 5 or 6 years ago made from lab parts. Foxyy
