go to a head shop and buy one i dont know of many DIY slides to be honest... you cant use foil, or plastic... i'd say you'd have to find some sort of metal downstem, and then... as for the bowl itself i'm compeltely clueless.. most DIY bong users go out and buy a glass slide because its just easier that way.
Get a ZEBRA pen from office max and take it apart, its all metal. And for the bowl, get a socket. ive had very good luck with those telescoping radio anteas. they fit inside each other nicely. ive got a really smoth way to hook it up to a wood home made diy bowl thats totally air tight sealling.
perfect in every way (mostly) is a mouthpiece for a trumpet. its gotta before one that plays the higher clef because then the hole in it will be small enough
