well my friends got my bub, so i made this little piece out of a pepsi bottle. idk why but the things just rips its soo sick. anyways, i can't help but notice an odd taste, mostly when the bowls are nearly caked, and my guess is that its from my rigged plastic bowl getting heated up and melting a bit (it is deformed). Whats something I could use as a downstem/bowl for my little bong, about 3in in length, max.
sounds to me ur getting "fucked up" on those toxic fumes your inhaling from burning the plastic bowl that is already deformed/melted. you are watching yourself kill yourself slowly by loosing oxygen to the brain. so i would say no to home mades. but if i had to answer that question id say a pen for the downstem.
Search the forums next time first, things like this have been posted and answered numerous times. But just take a socket, tin foil, and a tire guage... I'll leave the rest to you. Btw that weird taste is the toxic plastic your inhaling.
nah im not getting fucked up, im getting pretty high though, normal high. its when i try and light the cashed stuff that it tastes funkiest. i've got a pen as the downstem now but the top of it gets melted kinda..i mean i guess i better just get a less fail pen. lol
You have to consider how many toxins you are potentially inhaling when your relighting that cashed bowl. Quick question though, why are you relighting a cashed bowl? Anyhow consider rebuilding your piece with things like glass or steel. Anything non toxic. Or you can shell out $6-15 for a downstem, bowl, or diffused and just stick that into a bottle. Sure you don't have the best chamber in the world but it's better than killing yourself. You might also consider heading to a shop and looking for any of the following: Bat, Chillum, build-a-pipe, 1hitter, pipe. All can be obtained for anything from $1-$30... $30 would be a good glass pipe.
