so i made this batty thing but when i heat the metal some grey/black residue forms. it easily wipes away though. is it safe? should i keep heating it till it no longer forms? should i sand it down? (i noticed it has an outter layer that peels when theres a crack) thanks
Sounds like your smoking out of some thing that is just metal plated. Try a skinny deep well socket. it worked for me in the past. But use a name brand like craftsman.
i cant post a pick and yes it is metal plated but it seems to be metal underneath. i was hoping you could tell me what kind of metal it is. is there a specific group of metals that form residue when heated?? btw yes i do realize how sketchy this is lol
is that possible? still doesnt seem safe tho
yeah, very. when i heat my pipe to scrape it it leaves that on there, and its glass.
