homemade metal one hitter

Discussion in 'DIY and Homemade' started by BigGuru, Sep 6, 2011.

  1. so i made this batty thing but when i heat the metal some grey/black residue forms. it easily wipes away though. is it safe? should i keep heating it till it no longer forms? should i sand it down? (i noticed it has an outter layer that peels when theres a crack)

    thanks :)

  2. what type of metal is it???

  3. if theres an outer layer that peels, do not smoke out of it

  4. Sounds like your smoking out of some thing that is just metal plated. Try a skinny deep well socket. it worked for me in the past. But use a name brand like craftsman.

  5. Post a pic............

  6. i cant post a pick and yes it is metal plated but it seems to be metal underneath. i was hoping you could tell me what kind of metal it is. is there a specific group of metals that form residue when heated??

btw yes i do realize how sketchy this is lol

  7. it might just be from the flame of the lighter..

  8. im going to laugh if its galvanized.

  9. is that possible? still doesnt seem safe tho

yeah, very. when i heat my pipe to scrape it it leaves that on there, and its glass.

  11. The flame from the lighter could leave a layer of soot.

  12. it can leave soot just from heating the metal? no weed in there...
