To be honest, That looks like a lung killer to me. I would NEVER hit that. Even if the pvc isnt bad for you lungs, Witch im pretty sure it is, It would taste so bad you might as well make a foiley. Plus, for long term use, plastic is horrible for you. Glass is one of the only nuetral common materials That doesnt bleach chemicals into the smoke after time. Just constructive critisism man, no offense. It does look really well put together though I will give you that.
I know this is a necropost but I'm going to make an inline next week, and although the ashcatcher doesn't look very sophisticated, how do you attach it to the inline? I'm not too familiar with how PVC adapters etc work, are there male/female ends or is it just one kind? Also: I made a straight-tube piece with an 8 arm perc. I tried making a dome perc and absolutely couldn't get that water-tight. When you glue the bottle to the cap, how much pressure (if any) do you put on it ie clamping? I know for exactly with Gorilla Glue, you generally have to have it clamped pretty tight for a full seal.
I just made this this past week, and give an A+. Followed this tutorial to the letter (with some tweaks of my own) and my piece is absolutely amazing. A milked hit is pretty easy to clear, even with my fucked up lungs. I used Gorilla Glue to seal all the water seals (ie on the perc chambers and the inline.) I couldn't get the hot glue 100% on the water seals - redid each seal at least 3 times. I finally decided to use the Gorilla Glue, and it worked wonders. Even though each piece had to be clamped for 24 hours, I did one at a time (because while the inline was going I could use the one working perc on my straight tube, etc.) I made 2x5arm percs, with 2 slits on each tree. I also made a 33 slit dome perc attachment as well, with an extended mouthpiece (also detachable) as an ice catch. I think the dome perc should be at the bottom but I'm still testing out the order of them. The inline has 12 slits. I went with slits on it and the dome perc because from the research I've read, slits are easier to clear although harder to clean. They were also far far easier to make - I used a Dremel. I tried using a drill to make holes but it was really hard to keep the PVC straight and keep the drill from slipping. The ashcatcher is just a generic attachment, with a 6-slit downstem and a decently-worked push slide, cost $50 flat at a LHS. I spent about $25 on the PVC parts, Vitamin Water, and hot glue. So for $75, I have this amazing bong (at least until I hit a Stemline/Gridline/etc) and the downstem/slide can be used for further projects.
man that us one kick ass gettoh lol way better then the bottle pen and tinfoil i use to smoke as a kid
