I just harvested my second grow and got a good sized stem. I took the bark off and drilled out the middle. then i drilled a 1/4 inch deep hole using a larger bit. Is this a common idea? is it safe? i thought smoking weed from weed would be the best possible taste. what do you think?
I don't know about health but thats a gnarly idea. I know what they do with wood pipes is that they smoke a few bowls of tobac or like honey dipped weed to resin up the bowl and coat it so it doesn't burn itself when you toke it. stems may flame easily and light up but idk. give it a go
damn nice idea... what if for your next grow you make another one.. like a tradition. maybe like a steamroller. drill through the whole stem and put the bowl on top. or just make a carb .. idk props to you for makin your own pipe lol

smokes perfectly. Quadman can verify this. looks the same after being used 5 times. Just a little black in the bowl.
i did the same thing from my grow this summer. I left it in a plastic case and it started smelling way to gross for use so i tossed it. Its a cool peice to show off though
TJJ is trippin first off, and even if it did, your smoking miniscule amounts of the stem according to those pics an how u drilled it. Thats a pretty cool pipe nonetheless, you should definitely make more or (if your situation allows) purposely keep the plant growing for an EXTRA long time before going to flower and actually give the steamroller idea a shot.
thats a nice little chillum, id definitely smoke that. try googling how to keep wood pipes from burning. oh and kemps is much better than land o' lakes
i am using it gently to let the resin build up so it doesn't burn. i also smoked some kief out of it.
