Homemade grinder?

There is really nothing you can do besides scissors a coffee grinder or your fingers

 

go get a CNC milling machine, computer with autocad and some skill....
of course this will cost a lot of money and time, you could just buy one

 

This is a challenge..what I would do is get a foundation case from any female you know . Make sure its the kind that have a lid and that actually look like a MJ grinder. Remove all make up and then remove all plastic components so all you have is a hollow shell. Then get a fine mesh screen or roll and maybe use some non toxic epoxy or you could drill small holes in sides of the container and feed the mesh wiring through then glue it onto the sides or tie it somehow. Make sure the screen is about 1/4 of total length from the bottom of the container. Anyways once the screen is installed take some small finish nails and cut them so they are 1/16" from the screen. Use your adhesive and glue the nails onto the inside of the lid of the container. Next take a utility blade and cut all the threads off the lid so that it spins freely (you could also use silicone to fill the threads so it spins freely)

This thing won't last long but may or may not work this is just off the top of my head so try it out and definitely change some things along the way to improve build quality and functionality.

It's not advisable, you can definitely make something that will grind weed but if its made with weak material there is the chance that it is flaking off and getting in your buds.

 

How to make a home made Grider:

I just made this like 5 minutes ago, its my first one and its pretty basic, but it works and its all home made.

Materials you'll need:

Mayonaise jar lid

Numerous lids from jars and such.

Thumb tacks

Tape

Outer jar rim lid thingies, two sizes.

Annnd that's about it.



Okay, so first thing you should do, it add the mayonaise jar lid, to the larger outer jar lid thingy. Use the tape to do this.

Afterwards push several thumb tacks through the original top part of that lid. Tape down the tacks to smake sure they are sturdy and will not fall out.

Now put the newly tacked lid into the mayonaise rim thing and attatch with tape.

Now put a small lid (or the original top) into a smaller jar lid rim thing. This will be the handle

And attach thumb tacks through another large lid in a way that makes the tacks not collide. You need a lid that's small enough to snnugly fit inside of the other bigger jar rim lid thing.

Now attach the smaller handle piece to the second tacked up lid. Again using your magical tape.

And there you go, one home made Grinder!

Wow! First step by step instructions on homemade grinder I have ever seen! I smoke nugs in bowls usually, I'm not familiar with grinders at all. How would I be able to add a screen for keef?

Like I daid dude, I threw that together in the kitchen with random things. I would have to spend more time modifying it to tell you.

Well you would want a second layer for the weed to fall into. You hould have to replace one of the lids with a wire mesh of sorts so that it can fall in after its grinded down. Then add a nickle in that layer and shake it so that the keef will fall into the second layer and beguin to collect.

That's how I would do it at least.

Wow, I just have a grinder that looks like the part of a revolver where you put the bullets. It's really tight.

 

I'm one for DIY and all, but if you're going ahead and trying to make a kief catcher.. why not just buy a $10 grinder from your local head shop or dispensery?

 

A good trick I use to grind is a shot glass and some small scissors.

 

Very clever but is it not easier to buy a grinder.

 

Buy a can of snuff and drill some tiny ass screws in it top and bottom. Viola...a ghetto ass grinder.
