Hello, today I will show my fellow blades how I make my gravity bongs. My process is very simple IMO and should be easy to understand and follow I hope this inspires you to create and critique and of course get stoned. Materials Needed: 1 Metal tire pressure gauge with the guts removed, (Or any simular metal tube) 1 small socket. In these images I use one of those small ones for star bolts(I think thats what they're called) 1 Mountain Dew bottle and cap (20 oz.) 1 Plastic mug (32 oz.) Tape Now lets begin.... This is the type of mug you need or something simular. This is a picture of the tube which was a tire gauge. All you need is a metal tire pressure gauge and some pliers to pry the top of and the guts of it will come out and you will be left with a metal tube. Make a hole in the cap of the soda bottle as close to the size as the tube as you can. Tape around the tube and cap to making sure the tube is sticking up about an inch or so over the cap tape it securely together. Next place the socket into the top of the tube. Find one that fits well into it for easy removal when loading the bowl. You can have a screen in the socket if you wish it doesn't matter much. Next take the bottle and cut it as shown. Next put it all together. Fill water into the mug to about two inches less than the lenght of the bottle when the cap and bowl are on it. Place bottle into the water, load the bowl and place onto the cap and tighted the cap. Now get your lighter and hold it to the bowl as you lift the bottle by the cap. This causes the pressure that lights the bowl and the bottle then fills with smoke. When you get to where the open end of the bottle is almost to the surface of the water unscrew the cap and pull it out then put your mouth onto the top of the bottle and suck that smoke in! LOL I have no bud right now so there's no smoke but that''s what it should look like but the bubbles will be filled with smoke. Using this even a small amount of marijuana will give you a very good high because it burns hot and fast and you get a nice full hit. I hope this guide helps you create, build, and get stoned. Thanks for the rep, man! Yeah I find the down stem makes the hits a little less harsh and gets more pressure and airflow to make the bowl burn better.
Also I might note that the metal tube is not necessarily required. A good thing about it though that tube cakes up with resin very quickly.
never seen one made like that, get a bucket, then a 2lt bottle. melt the top and stick the ratchet in it, you dont need that pressure shiit. dont do much just makes it more a pain to pull off when you take the cap off. burn a hole in the top cap and put the ratchet socket in it so you wont have to use that ducktape
Nice work. I used to do the same thing, except with a 2 liter soda bottle, and a plastic water pitcher (can get them at grocery stores usually). We even had a long metal pipe in there too, but then it eventually started rusting so we took it out... Figured no bubbles > rust in lungs. Was still a hell of a bong though, even without filtering.
Kinda looks like it don't it. I can't even see it when I look at it except in that picture with the flash of the camera. I wouldn't think that would rust though it's stainless steel... EDIT: I cleaned it really good and that stuff came off. Not sure what it was. I haven't used that socket in a while.
Ha! Yeah everybody down here says, "Let's hit the GB man." See I've done that on other stuff melt a hole in plastic and put it in. But think about it your putting something metal that is going to heat up fast. Into something that melts. Granted caps take a good amount of heat to melt, but they still do. I've done it. It really sucks to have a bowl your hitting fall thru some contraption and fall into the water. The ducttape (not ducktape) on my device is there to seal around where the tube goes thru the cap and to hold the tube in place. The socket never touches the cap it sits in the tube. Problem solved.

This thing is unreal even if you smoke shit weed out of it...ripped! To let you know I normally do not get shitty weed but it was $10 for a half an ounce. And I made double my money back earlier
