Homemade Bongs

Discussion in 'DIY and Homemade' started by jevonsp, Oct 7, 2011.

  1. Hey, I'm a fairly new smoker, since last summer so I'd say I've got some experience.

Anyways, I like making bongs because if I have to dip out of somewhere and get out fast I don't want to have any qualms about leaving something there and I like to stash a bong or two in places my friends and I regularly smoke at.

I make pretty good bongs that get us pretty high, at least we like them (even our most skeptical and seasoned friends like them)

SO, I am trying to figure out how not to make them leak.

Right now I use the casing of a 'bic' ball point pen for the stem and a plastic 16 oz Arizona bottle, with a 9/11 socket wrench piece for my bowl (Its interchangable on all stems I use)

Any way to cut down on leakage? I use duct tape and super glue to plug the hole but it just doesn't cut it.

Oh an FYI, we do use glass pieces (a few pipes between us) but I prefer the hits I get through the water. So, yeah, thanks!

  2. What I've done in the past, is take a piece of thin plastic card (or anything sturdy, yet bendable) and cut it a good size so you can wrap it around the stem. Make sure it's not too tight, but not too loose, and then you put it in the bong hole and tape that in the hole, so it's half out and half in the bong. So instead of the stem going straight into the bottle it goes through a little tunnel (so to speak). It will greatly cut on leakage if you do it right. I hope that makes sense, sort of hard to explain.

  3. Blue tack is the best for leekage. or white tack i guess....

  4. Thanks! Haha good idea on that card and the tack. im going to use a combination of both. Also, any ideas on decorating?
