for one of my bongs "Old Faithful" I used a big gatorade bottle with a socket siliconed into a marker tube. the other bong named "Square Bear" was a grape juice bottle about 2 liters with an old stem from my dads bong from waaay back in the stone age. ;D they're so big that you can use a LOT of ice and get the water to almost freezing temperature. and there is SO much room left in the container that i can take the BIGGEST rips and not feel even the slightest burning in my lungs/throat. if you're gonna make one use a big bottle and a metal bowl with whatever you can find around the house thats long for a stem. and if you can, buy some silicone. it takes awhile to dry but its an airtight seal that is fun to play with cuz its all squishy.
