So, I have a question. I have been making homemade bongs for the better part of three months out of old bottles, a hollowed out pen, and a socket. Now, to be even safer, I took two sockets, put them together, and then put that on the pen (what? you didn't think I was stupid enough to smoke straight out of a pen did you?). Now don't knock me for that, I have my own pipe, but I live 4 hours away from the nearest headshop.....so a smoking apparatus is hard to come by. I just enjoy smoking out of a bong. Anyway, my question is this, Even if the flame doesn't touch the plastic directly, could the heat from the smoke be hot enough to release the chemicals? I only ask, because for a while now, I wake up, and almost immediately puke. I never have an appetite, and I won't go into detail about what happens on the toilet, but I think you get the idea. I was fine until catching some sort of stomach flu during spring break, and now this. Yesterday I didn't smoke weed at all, and woke up without puking. Some days I wake up without getting sick, but most days I feel like garbage. So, yeah....chemicals. Sorry this is so long, but I'm baked, cause that's the only thing that helps. Thanks is advance!
Just to be safe, have as much room from the plastic to the flame. Make sure the socket is really thick, and can take the heat good. Just be cautious, and enjoy toking! Oh, don't forget duct tape! I know its unrealated but without duct take, you may have a hole, and the smoke won't properly be...well smoked. Just make sure its absolutly airtight!
