Well, I'm making a homemade out of one of these Sobe bottles Like this So I was wondering how can I make holes in it for the downstem and carb hole without using an electric drill or anything. Thanks
Take a sharp needle, heat it up and stick it through, then twist it in a circle. Or you could burn a hole, but that won't give you a round hole.
There's really only one good way to get a hole in glass, and that is with some sort of electric rotary tool and specialized glass drilling bit.
fill it up with a shit load of sand, and pack it as much as you can. then hit it with a nail were u want the hole. It doesnt work everytime so if u have alot of bottles you might get it. But its extremely hard
on the bottom of a sobe bottle there is a weak point in the glass. Search for it around the bottom trim, you can't miss it. It's where the glass kind of sinks in to the bottle? Take a flathead screw driver and a hammer and LIGHTLT tap on it until it breaks. ... Cut a hole in the top of the lid and put your slide in there assuming you have one... filler up up with water while your finger is on the hole. and the rest should be self explainitory... a gravity bong.
sup bro, yo man a while back i made a homemade glass pipe out of a whisky bottle. use a dremel and a really thin bit, and slowly drill into the glass (pour water on it at all times) until you get a small hole. then use the drill and move it around in a circular motion to make it bigger (continute pouring water on the bottle and bit). when your through wash it out a few times to get rid of all the little glass particles.
No. Use a spade shaped glass drill bit (it will say its for glass right on the package) or a diamond glass drill bit. Normal drill bits are meant for boring- cutting and removing material. Glass drill bits work by scraping. The end of the spade shaped bits is slightly angled in a way to help it do that. The diamond drill bits are tube shaped, hollow in the middle, and have chips of diamond imbedded in the end to scrape at the glass. Be sure to read the instructions on the package, so you dont fuck up.
