I made a 3 foot black pvc tube bong it works great for homemade and it looks fine but my downstemcracked and im buying one next week but until then i need one someone told me to make one out of a pen insert but im scared of the fumes so what do you tokers think i should use yo?
PVC=Bad fumes that are easily created by low heats, so I'd address that before looking for a downstem. For the downstem.. bamboo works great.
Yes.. but the smoke may still be warm enough to lift chemicals from the PVC chamber. It's a bit risky.
Well, I've made many bongs out of plastic bottles (not the normal coke bottle type). They were actually similiar in shape to real bongs and they did resist a lot of heat.. although many plastics differ, and you can definitely taste it if it is releasing any chemicals. I've dealt with PVC as well and its just not worth it. Go to a shopping center and just look for bottles which look like they'd make a good bong, but don't scream 'homemade'. Try and look for thick plastic.
i mean theyre only like 30$ and they come with a bowl and stem so yeah plus the homemade one seemd a little timeconsuming i made it with that plastice pipe for the chamber and i had to attach the bottom with silicone sealant and the hoels and cutting - ugh screw that
but at least i was clever, i also went to a museum the other day with my grandparents and there was a sherlock holmes pipe in a rack on a desk behind a velvet rope and im going back in a few days to jack it its like a antique but its in nice condition...might need to clean it :lauging:
