I'm pretty sure its just a glass bowl with a little downstem stuck into the side of the gatorade bottle. In high school I use to stick those small "cherry stem" bowls into rockstar cans, milk cartons, or whatever.

 

As someone who used to be a sophomore in HS... I am all too familiar with homemade bongs. In retrospect, it was usually too hard to make a homemade bong that worked well. A grav bong (which isn't really a bong at all, nor does it have anything to do with gravity ) is the way to go if you're making your own smoking device...

That is, if you're too young to buy papers... That's what I did when i was younger. Just no water bottle bowls, that shit is harsh.
