i might be wrong and im sorry if i am but judging by the pics of ur bamboo i would think u never dryed it out(just through it on a garage floor for a week). it will eventually dry out by itself and this could cause serious splits in ur wood lol. and if u did dry it out did u also use any kind of sealant to ensure water tightness?
