First off, I'm brand-ass new to this forum so whatup fellow tokers? Anyways, I decided I want to make a 3-ish foot tall bamboo bong (except for the slide-it makes more sense to spend a few bucks at Smoke 9 for a glass one). Is female the actual slide and bowl you remove? This will make discussion simpler since, well, you can't show me in person. 1) Should I cut down a living stick of bamboo? Or use dead bamboo laying on the ground? Will it make a difference? 2) How should I hollow it out? Will bamboo crack with a drill? 3) I've read that bamboo shouldn't be left with water in it, and must be dried out completely for it to last. How should I dry it out? 4) What size slides are standard (diameter)? I want the bowl to be fairly large, so size slide would that probably be? 5) For the stem, where the slide is placed (male?), should I drill a hole in the bong, attach a smaller piece of bamboo to it, and use adhesive to seal? (what adhesive is safest?) Or should I find bamboo with a little branch thing, and just drill straight through all the way? Sorry for my lack of terminology with the male/female/stem parts haha. If you have any other suggestions let me know! Thanks for any help guys. I'll try and do this today, so if I finish I'll post pics/maybe a video.
you get a dry dead piece. hollow it out with a sharp thang. use a bottle for the bottom, put the slide in the wood into the plastic part get a small one n smoke more bowls you save that way get good bud. use hot glue put electrical tape up all on that bottle n get it until its stuck on the bamboo thang
I made a steamroller which works perfect this si how I did it 1) I cut down the biggest peace and got one peice of it on the bottom for the biggest diameter 2) I drilled both ends and the best is just a like paper stuff which can be blown out or poked out 3) Yeah just make it reatatchable (hard) so I'd make a steamroller still good 4) Just experiment I donno check with someone else 5)JB weld if non toxic and wont burn up to 600 degrees F but just dont get flame on it and yeah but dont go to fast with driller it cause it can split it

i made a bamboo steamroller. its floatin around somewhere in this forum haha. I just take a section of bamboo and wing it with a drill. theres not much you can fuck up
