so it took some work some blood and lots of green (but it didnt cost me very much) but i made this it has a tree perc which i cannot take credit for i actually got it from a guide on here (thoguh i lost the link) try to ignore the sloppy gluing, this was all first try stuff so its not perfect then we have an inline precooler kinda hard to tell but the downstem goes down and then straght across the bottle and has small holes drilled into the bottom side of it and my favorite part of this piece (im amazed by what i thought up) its kindof hard to see, but there is a bottle inside of the main bottle that i cut slits all the way around to make a showerhead diffuser, the top of the inside bottle i cut it off and heated it with a lighter and bend it in, then flipped a bottle cap upside down and glued a seal to the inside bottle, then melted a small hole for the tube to go into that lead out to the precooler. here is a shot of it bubbling and a shot of a cheapy cheap bowl i picked up that im using fo this heres a milkvid [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIwIErKPbuM]YouTube - home made 6 arm tree perc showerhead and inline precooler[/ame]
cool in concept, but notice it is a drag machine, takes forever to clear, the smoke gets stale and probably tastes gross ;( nice creativity though
its not terribly hard to pull but it could hvae been done better, and pulling it quick enough the smoke hasnt staled on me at all, the hits taste pretty clean, and no matter how fat of a hit i pull its pretty smooth
I really like this lol. From the precooler to the bottle inside of a bottle you could use bigger tubing, and maybe like a gatorade bottle inside of a 2 liter bottle. Also just use bigger diameter holes on everything and maybe more straws. Just a couple of ideas but I love this shit!
its funny that you say that, im planning on remaking it soon, im cutting the precooler (unless i can figure out a better design for it, just over all im not liking it) but had i kept it would have used bigger tubing. the next one will have bigger slits in the showerhead and 2 percs (with probably 8 arms or so) and i was also considering using a 2 liter for the main part @iewed its not the precooler, i unscrewed the cap and tried pulling that way, i think it has something to do with the hose and the slits in the showerhead not being big enough, but im not totally sure just yet
^The hose was what I was specifically referring to. Cause basically you have to milk the pre-cooler, then pull all that smoke through that tiny hose to fill up the main chamber, then you have to basically do it all over again to clear it. More diffusion isn't always a good thing. Personally I would stick with maybe a small a/c with a diffused downstem and the actual bong have no more than 2 percs.
