Had some free time and a block of white oak laying around so i whipped up a small pipe. Not bad for my first time imho, just gotta put a finish on it though i am not sure what to use.
that looks pretty sweet, looks like good wood. I just bought a wood pipe and I was just wondering if there is any negative sides to smoking out of a wood pipe? like taste or clogging or anything? sorry to take off subject but nice piece
the only real downside to wood that i can see is the difficulty in cleaning it. there is a slightly different taste compared to glass (sorta a woody taste ) and it tends to be a little bit hotter then glass but a hell of a lot more durable. Prob could drive a car over it.
