your basicly using Foil for the bowl? Why not go in your garage and look for a little metal socket... & Your Sink.. where the wter comes out.. theres like 5-6 Screens in there. Take a knife... poke 1 out.. if any more then 1 came out put em back in (its simple) then wella you have a METAL screen

You could spend $10 on an equally godawful acrylic bubbler and have a much smaller chance of inhaling things that are terrible for you.

 

If you're going to make a homemade bong I would suggest doing it right. It will cost such a small amount of money, but chances are you already have everything you need in your house. I would make a gravity bong.

Saw off the top half of a 1 gallon milk jug and the bottom off of a 2 liter soda bottle. Put the cap on the top of the soda bottle and melt/jab/whatever you can do to get a hole through the top. Then make a bowl either some aluminum foil or, the best choice is a metal socket as aforementioned if you have one around your house. You can even use a metal screen from your sink to make the bowl out of; you just need the weed to not fall through the hole when you burn it.

Fill the milk jug 2/3rds of the way up with water and push the soda bottle down in the water. Then, put your weed in the makeshift bowl on top of the cap and light it. The smoke will slowly fill the soda bottle and push up on the water. Continue to light it until the soda bottle rises all the way to the top of the water and gets milky. Then, screw the cap off and take your hit by pulling the smoke in from the bottle until you reach water. (But don't let the water hit your lips! It's nasty bong water!)

Good luck! I remember before moving out needing to make pieces. I eventually got an 8$ bullet that was easily hidden and still works to this day.

 

If there is a 7-11 near you, buy one of the metal Slurpee straws, it does the job PERFECTLY.

 

All of my bongs throughout the years have been homemade. There's just something special about it; sometimes I'll hastily construct one with a friend if one is needed, but if you're looking for something to smoke more than once or twice, go with glass, glass and glass...trust me. glass chamber, glass downstem, glass bowl and Billy Mays Mighty Putty as a sealant and you've birthed a masterpiece.

I'd take resizing over inhaling plastic, I'm a chem major and I don't want any of that plastic in my lungs, I know what it can do to you.

 

the pen tube works fine just make sure its not too far into your bowl when you tape it to it.
