avoid hi-guy, red eye, hoss, NG, ghost (fake ghost), koch, cheech, gear, and blaze. those brands are the most i see in canadian headshops, they're just china glass with labels stamped on, nice piece dude but try to avoid those company's as their glass is usually poop.

Ive found that the hoss peices are actually constructed pretty well with thick glass, but cheech on the other hand looks like they threw their shit together in five minutes.
Yea i live in canada and have to deal with like only those companys in my headshop to, i dont know how much i like my double honeycomb cheech it feels heavy and rips good, theres just this drag u can tell isnt there in the phx ones, my hoss is really good though, they ship from within canada even though they are made in china. There pretty damb solid tubes and the thickness is FOR SURE even threw out except the joint lol they Always make there joints too thin, but u can basically use my old hoss as a bat. They just copy alot of companys ideas and they dont perfect it, blow the glass in china, then put the same price of an american tube on them If your like me and u dont like to order online (internationally) then try finding a place that sells stuff like mgw and hvy shipped from canada, unless your not worried and dont mind ordering from the usa

Both higuy and red eye are canadian made and the brand logo Is embedded in the glass
Yeah that's what they want you to think, Do your research dude, redeye is clearly not canadian glass. I've seen so many china bongs side by side, one with a red eye logo selling for 150 and the other without selling for like 60

Yes they put stickers on china glass and jack up the prices but true higuy glass has the logo etched into the glass. And is blown in canada. I live in bc and talked to my head shop

Liquid Chrome is deff where it's at here in Ontario. I went there on boxing day to pickup my Hoss. I'm not even going to start on Hoss, too many haters out there I don't want any blow-back. But yeah, if your 4~ hours away from Barrie, it's worth the trip. Prices are great, service is amazing, and the selection is second to none. I drove 2 hours there, 2 hours back, WELL worth it.
First of all HiGuy is blown by artist Guy Thomas who is Canadian and has his studio in BC - http://www.thekockydog.ca/higuy-glass.html The reason you probably thought it was China glass is because his glass is not overpriced, it is affordable. Sure there are pieces by BTGB, Ghost, Snic etc. and yes, it is beautiful works of art but lets face it, the average person cannot afford that glass so for us we have to shop in our budget. If you want a hand blown one of a kind piece then HiGuy is a great option because you can buy a piece for under $100. As far as the China glass goes, yes, a lot of glass is produced in factories in China but what isn't?? That's like saying all brands of TV's are the same crap because they are all made inChina but we all know Sony is better. Or batteries, you can put a Duracell next to a dollar shop battery and they may look the same but we all know the Duracell will last 100 times longer - both made in China. Red Eye and Hoss are better glass, They are designed in Canada, have very high quality control and high standards too. A factory is a factory and factory glass is factory glass, wherever the factory is located. I have put a Hoss Piece next to an NG piece and there is no comparison!! The Hoss piece was way nicer and it will smoke better. The reason you pay for the name Hoss is because they wont put that name on crappy glass.
2 bong pics in the thread, and neither is glass on glass... This thread is already stupid, and I for one could care less about the name brands or nationality of the bong most of the time. Water pipes should always be: thick, sturdy, and has a glass on glass connection. If it doesn't pass those 3 criteria, it is a pass-able functioning bong at best. Hi Guy is made in Langley, BC, Canada by a husband and wife who have a glass business that spans 2 generations. They use German Pyrex, the strongest kind, and have an extremely high level of quality and craftsmanship. Red Eye is NOT made in Canada, though the company is from Canada. They`re notorious for ripping off the designs of glass artists, getting them made in china, and undercutting the same artists they stole the designs from to make a buck. Shitty business practises, shitty quality.
