Hi, so I won’t be getting this until I go back to school in the fall (August) but I am excited and want to start looking now. Basically I need a new bong, my old one (17’’ straight) was a house bong that everyone in my house pitched in for. We ended the lease, we all moved out, and with that the bong is gone. I wanna get something new for myself when I find a new place (hopefully new housemates are cool with weed, if not I’m fucked and have to stick with carts :/) I’m looking for a bong as tall if not taller (bigger the better), beaker bottom, and decent price preferably under $100. However I’m open to creative options too outside of the requirements. I just want something nice for my self. I have never bought online, is online cheaper or more expensive than headshops? Stores seem to be cheaper, but that might just be because it’s crappy Chinese but idk. And how well is it shipped? What happens if it is shipped and broken when I get it? if you can help me find a good bong/ share your bong/ give me ideas. All help really appreciated! Thanks!!
I recently went to a silicone bong after years of various glass bongs. Overall, I now prefer my silicone over glass for several reasons. First, it fully disassembles into smaller pieces for cleaning. No need for pipe brushes or anything. Second, the draw is extremely consistent. As my glass bongs would build residue and clog, the silicone just keeps on trucking. And while I do have a center glass piece in my silicone bong, I generally don't have to worry about it breaking. I can buy the glass piece separately if it does break or convert from a 2 stage to a single stage pipe. I'll try to grab a Pic if you want when I get home.
This Chinese made bong was $87AUD. This is my second one and I've noticed a small inconcestincy with how well there put together but it did bounce on the tiled floor once and survive. I found this identical design on an American site and it was $450 US.
I’ve had this one for 8 years, got it at a local headshop. I’ve gone through countless downstems and ash catchers over the years but the bong still stands. Nothing fancy but it gets the job done.
Im in a similar situation, ive had my current piece a 12" beaker for 2 years about and am on my third downstem and probably fourth or fifth bowl. Thankfully the main tube has stayed together all this time I just don't like those long style bowls because they get clogged easily in my experiences
