Yeah I realize I made a mistake haha I already know what it was, 18mm, I just did it to make SURE I guess haha
I did the freezer cause someone said the freezer will shrink the dime alil bit or something like that. What do you mean heat it with water? Thanks for the help
I believe there is also 10mm if im not mistaken, obviously its not that, but theres more then 2 sizes. Correct me if I am wrong but I'm pretty sure
Dont drill near a glass piece it will shatter , try metal weld i think sum1 called it jb weld but its just called metal weld in the uk . Should work a treat
yes their is, but that is rare and you EASILY know that, but for me, looks like he wants a new downstem/bowl, which is almost always the case...go to ur head shop...and ask...that simple lol.....or MAYBE JUST MAYBE....use a ruler lol
The 2 main sizes are 14 (also called 14.5) and 18 (also called 18.8, or 19)...yeah people are asstards calling it all different things. 29.9 you see on german roor zumo, and I had a sheldon black bubbler that had a 29.9mm joint. And 10 is popular now with rigs. And you have 3 other bongs? Are they all the same joint size? Go get some dimes to see lol...
Cold will contract metal. But not Borosilicate or lime-soda glass. That should have worked. BUT...heating it with a torch can cause metal to expand much further than cold can cause it to contract. And the glass won't expand or contract. One small imperfection in glass that allows for expansion or contraction will cause it to break. That is why you can pour boiling water into Pyrex, but not in a regular drinking glass. That will cause it to shatter.
Soldering iron. Rosin core solder. Problem solved in like 3 seconds. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Um... have you thought about making a little handle out of wire, then gluing it onto the dime? That way, you can pull it out with tweezers.
Buy an electric toothbrush/shaver/vibrator. Tape your vibrator to the bit where the dime is. Turn the bong upside down, prop it up somehow. Switch your vibrator on. Hope for the best.
Hahahaha dude that's hilarious. Maybe try a magnet? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
im a mechanic, so torch the fucker? worse case you blow the joint, go get it repaired, or buy a new piece i read like 20 different solutions and none worked? you fucked the dog on this one, hard so just accept the fact that the only way to test the size of a fitting is with male fitting
Nope. Not dumb at all bro. We learn from one another, and the great, giverer of knowledge....Google. Your suggestion was a good one and valid, the materials were the variable. I just happened to know about the variable. Nothing ventured is nothing gained. I can't count the the stuff I've learned from your posts and journals... Glad I was able to give something in return!
