Hey fellow tokers, wanted to know your opinions about some white stuff encrusted on my glass bong. Tried scraping it with a skewer but it didnt come off. Recently had some other more "3D" white stuff that stuck up a little and I was able to get it off with a skewer, though it was pretty crusted on. After that I got paranoid about mold and cleaned with salt and iso, then soaked in iso for a while. I'll attach some photos, apologies for the bad image quality, my bong has a pattern on it that makes it hard to see into and this is the best I can do. Thanks all!
Looks like bubbles in the glass to me, sort of distorted by the glass. But also sort of looks like hard water stains, but i cant tell if its also got that white slime kind of look. If you're really worried pour in apple cider vinegar and let it soak overnight. (420 off is better but cost alot) I recently pulled a big bong out that sat for a year, didnt have the bowl in it, so it had either dust in it, or somekind of mold. Tried iso and salt, still had a weird grainy look and feel. Then poured in apple cider vinegar. Its soaked for a day and its looking new, just waiting for the 6 arm tree to clear up a bit on the inside so letting soak 48 hrs. This gets rid of just about the hardest of water stains on a budget.
Thanks for the reply CrazyLettuce, I'm glad to hear you don't think its mold. I'm soaking it in apple cider vinegar for a bit now and then I'll check back in on it. Thanks for the tips!
