Hey y’all. Long-time lurker, first-time poster. I’ve been using my Aerospaced grinder for a few years. I like it, but the threads get gummed up with some of the grindings, which then fall on my table. I have two questions for ya. First, do you know of any screen grinders that have solved this problem? Second, what grinder do you use, and is there anything that you don’t like about it? I’m thinking about designing one. -Anthony, Bentonville, AR
resin/trichomes is sticky itll gum up any grinder, scissors, pipe, ect. a proper cleaning will solve the issue for while. personally ill use a grinder for a year or two and get another one.
It needs to be cleaned. Dunk all the parts in 91% Isopropyl alcohol, soak, wipe clean, rinse. Repeat if needed.
Oh, definitely. Appreciate the suggestion. I clean my grinder frequently. That's not really my question, though. I'm more interested in: 1. How other grinder designs have mitigated or solved this issue. 2. What gripes folks have with other grinders that they otherwise like. As I mentioned, I'm not wanting to solve a problem with my grinder. I'm interested in gathering information and possibly designing my own grinder.
thats what we did was answer your first question its resin unless you can make resin not sticky you can't solve that issue and honestly plants are producing more and more resin nowadays. its a factor we all look for in phenos
I have had the same 2 grinders for years and love them both. The one is a 4 piece Space Case and the other is a 2 piece Mendo Mulcher. They work perfectly, feel good to me, and are both old friends.
Nice! Thank you guys/gals for the quick replies. I'm probably wording my first question poorly. My question isn't how to deal with the issue of stuff falling out of the grinder. My first question is are there any grinder designs that have attempted to avoid the problem of stuff falling out. In the particular case of the Aerospaced, that stuff gets on the threads. But my question isn't about that grinder either. I'm interested in grinder designs that have solved or lessened that problem. My second question is whether people have other favorite grinders and what (if anything) you don't like about them. The reason I ask is that I might like to design a grinder.
I really don't see any design weaknesses in mine. They're grinders. They do exactly what I want them to do. I'm curious what you're thinking?
Hey Crazy. I was thinking the top could somehow nest inside the bottom when put together so that when you pull the top half off, the product wouldn't fall out. I don't know how to design a locking mechanism that would allow that to happen, but I'm sure it could be done.
Been using a Kannastor grinder for years now. Never had a problem with the threads getting gummed up. Just the screen. Kannastor screens have diff sizes and can be replaced. On my third I think.
