I've been trying to come up with a design for a carbon filter for a long time now, and I've finally come up with a solid design. I'm really excited about it because I've haven't been able to take gb's from having a cough for a long time, and I finally can now. The design is simple, a small bottle with a hole on the top and bottom, attached to a lid and sealed with electrical tape. The hole on the top fits a 12mm slide perfectly. What do you guys think? Obviously everyone thinks their own piece is amazing, but I almost feel like I could sell this one. Once I get the design perfect, I'm going to take it to my LHS and pitch it to them to make a glass version of it. I think it would sell alot because I live in a college town and everyone that lives in the dorms smokes gravity bongs. Is this something you would pay for? If so, how much? I want honest opinions, but please be nice about out.
I love gb's and the coughing is a bitch and I've always wanted like a professionally made one out of glass but didn't wanna pay the like 80 bucks for one I'd love to see one at a good 30 bucks but that's just my opinion

Wouldn't pay for it personally since you can buy aquarium filter carbon at the pet store for around $5 and have enough for a couple g bongs. Plastic bottles are pretty much free. Is it really just as simple as the smoke gets pulled through the carbon? What else is there to it? Just that? What does it do actually?
It's really that simple. There's a screen in the bottom that keeps the carbon from falling through, and I used a soldering iron at the top to melt a hole that makes an airtight seal around a 12mm slide. You can take the carbon out and replace it easily, it just pours out the top.
I built my own carbon filter on a regular water bong, not a gravity bong. Haven't got to try it yet, I'm dry. But thanks for the idea.
This is extremely unhealthy. The smoke isn't filtered by the water at all. So you're inhaling carbon dust. Have fun with black lung. :/
I disagree, as long as the carbon is thoroughly rinsed, you shouldn't have to worry. having smoke flow through the carbon shouldn't make it spontaneously disintegrate.
